Hey everyone,

In the past we've had a space to inspire, learn, and support each other in our journey to classic length and beyond. It's time for us to put the "LOOOONNNNG" back into LHCF!

This space isn't just for anyone who has reached BCL or TBL. It's for anyone who is working towards achieving Classic Length.

Feel free to join at any time. A starting picture would be appreciated.

I found my post #5 in the Hip, Tailbone, Cassic and longer Club/Challenge
that you have linked in your above post.

That was 20 Years ago, in 2005!

I have never made it passed the small of my back. I have never grown my hair to my pelvis, which is the area that is at the juncture where my hips connect to my thighs.

I'm tired of sabotaging my own progress, intentionally, ignorantly, accidentally or whatever.

So, you know what?

I'm joining this because I am DETERMINED to grow my hair OVER my booty. This is something I have NEVER been able to do.


This is a 2 Year Challenge I see.

I am scheduled to straighten and trim my hair at the end of April 2025 and will use that as my starting picture.

Wow, I guess I will join this challenge too. Thanks for posting @snoop ! I will definitely check out those threads. I'm somewhere around hip/tailbone length but am looking to have more fullness. I will have to straighten my hair and do a trim at some point. I will also try to get better pics next time.

EDIT:

As I was perusing my hair photos over the last two years, I was reminded that my hair grows in layers and I wouldn’t even be close to classic length until 2030. That’s if I retain every inch. I’m going to sit this one out and just be a lurker, lol.

I'm not sure if I'll make it to TBL let alone classic by the end of next year, but I always found joining multiple length challenges to be inspiring.

My hair is grazing waist length right now, but grows in dramatic layers. Imagine the back at waist length and the front nearly armpit length. No matter how even or blunt my hair is cut, the layers grow back!

I look forward to seeing everyone’s progress though!

My hair grows like this too. I just claim the lowest layer's length. I've never been able to get my hair to all one length.

My hair has never gotten past hip length. Some has gotten to tailbone length but it is always thin and scraggly.

I think somewhere between hip and tailbone lengths is the longest I've grown my hair. I wasn't consciously growing it, the shrinkage was mad so when I had a proper blow dry at a salon (with a round brush) for my birthday, I think everyone was shocked by the length of my hair, myself included.

That blow dry lasted for just under 3 weeks, after that I started cutting until I ended up at shoulder length. I've not grown my hair past WL since then, that was around 15 years ago.

So this was my hair yesterday. I think I'm on track to be skimming hip length by the end of the year.

I can tell my curls are getting longer. My hair is about 90% dry here.

That's great news, I'm really pleased for you. Your hair definitely looks longer, congratulations and good job

......... I don't have much to update, my hair is about the same. The crown is the longest overall section of my hair so I decided to take a pic of part of the crown stretched. This was after I had finger detangled and was taking my hair back out of the bantu knots so that I could wash it. If my hair makes it to Classic length I'm sure the crown will get there first . You can see the two bantu knots at the bottom are actually my nape section. I also included a pic of part of my hair after I took the bantu knots out and a wet pic of it right after I washed it. I think the pictures look better if you click on them.
