I was wondering if you mix both a moisturizing and protein conditioner together do they cancel each other out or do you get the good effects of both. I always mix my Elasta QP DPR 11 or Cholesterol conditioner with Motions Silk Protein and more recently Motions CPR. I don't have a hooded dryer and I always just leave my conditioners on for a couple of hours is that as good as sitting under a dryer for 15 to 20 minutes?

If you're mixing them together before use and not just slathering one on top of the other, you should get the effects of both. A lot of us around here mix diff cons for their different benefits. As far as the amount of time you DC, a couple hours is fine if you choose not to use the dryer. A lot of times I'll DC overnight and rinse when I get up. You still get nicely conditioned hair.
