@IDareT'sHair, sorry sis - I had to create this thread. It's finally wash day for me after being in braids for close to 8 weeks! I will take my time to take down and remove shed hair before applying pre-shampoo'ing.

- length: Almond oil on, layer with HE HH conditioner

Shampoo:
- 1st wash: GKHair moisturizing shampoo
- 2nd wash: SM Coconut & Hibiscus shampoo

DC: Hask Macadamia oil moisturizing deep conditioner, 30 min under heat

LOC:
- Leave in: It's a 10 leave in conditioner
- Cream: Olaplex #6
- Oil: Olaplex #7 + Argan oil
 
Ended up not doing wash day right after I prepooed yesterday so we're back to our normal schedule.

DC: TMC Peach Black Tea DC
Leave-in: CRN Curl Love Moisture Milk

Gel: Wetline Extreme Gel
 
Today
prepoo with babassu oil and conditioner

tomorrow
- shampoo with Éthique shampoo bar
- DC w SM power greens (I think?? ) and olaplex on my crown
- TGIN miracle repairX as my leave in
- CRN aloe whipped butter gel as my styler
- two strand twists with
- JBCO butter and perm rods on my ends
 
Tomorrow (or tonight if I feel inspired)
Shampoo with innersense hydrating hair bath
Condition with briogeo farewell frizz (curl charisma is my fave conditioner but Nordstrom and Sephora were sold out. Farewell frizz is pretty similar)
Style with kinky curly knot today and curling custard
Bonnet dry for 45 minutes

Air drying in nine two-strand twists!
 
Thinking of doing a golden rinse I just found some left over

Tomorrow
Wash with Happy Devas Natural Shampoo
Let air dry in two buns
Apply rinse and then cover with cling film (Saran wrap) for 30mins-45mins
Rinse out and apply Happy Devas Natural Conditioner, leave in
Put in bun and cover with satin scarf then microfibre towel/turban

Monday

Apply HD Growth Miracle Scalp Balm to edges
apply HD Growth Miracle serum to scalp
Do above on days not dampening my hair

Try to ignore hair for a few days


Wednesday

Dampen hair length and ends apply DC between Mane N Tail Herbal Conditioner, Aussie Reconstructive conditioner

Saturday

Dampen hair length and ends with HD leave in with biotin apply HD Natural conditioner over it, bun
 
@Shadow_Lace how are your wash and go’s with curly magic as your styler? It seems most people use another product on top, but I’ve always been curious if it’s a good gel on its own.

My hair actually has a strong/firm hold from it.
It usually has a firm hold, solo
So I decided to try it out with this lighter weight leave-in, just to see if there's any real change to the hold.

Otherwise I'll just use the UFD Good Hair Styling Creme as my leave-in under Curly Magic.
There's still a strong hold, just with an additional layer of moisture underneath it.
But no it doesn't necessarily need a topper on it.
That would just be me being extra, lol.


But one thing to keep in mind, I have really thin/low density hair.
So that may or may not have something to do with it...?

I don't know... it's weirder for me.

Since the majority of styling products, recommended, for thin hair have 0 hold!
So I tend to go for the styling products, that're most favored by ppl with medium-high density hair.


I hope this makes sense, & helps in a way!

Ok today was kinda one of my favorite wash days! I only shampooed my hair once instead of twice today and my hair was so moisturized and then when I detangled with the DC, it was smooth sailing. Plus I didn't have use much of it either! I'll get 4 uses out of it which is great from a 12oz container.

The only thing I don't love is how the Melanin Cream and Oil first mix. On application, it looks like I might get flakes but when it dries, that look goes away.

This wash day was such a hit! I tried a new prepoo technique that made washing my hair the easiest it’s ever been. My hair stayed smoothe and tangle free the entire time. I also had a little extra time so I did a clay wash instead and used the power greens shampoo to rinse it out. Soft, clean hair.... love that for me lol
 
Technically yesterday afternoon...

Sprayed water onto both sides of my hair.
Refresher Spray: Alikay Naturals Wake Me Up Refresher
Smoothed it onto hair.
Sprayed more water as well.
Styling Product: Uncle Funky's Daughter Curly Magic
Sprayed water/refresher and smoothed the UFD Curly Magic as needed, until satisfied.
Dry: Air-dried for a refreshed wash n go.
 
On Sunday, I did the following:

Hot Oil Treatment with Mimi’s Curls Oil
Shampoo w/ Bask & Bloom Rhassoul Bar
Henna Treatment w/ Henna Sooq Red Raj & BelleBar Guacamole
DC w/ APB OMG
LI w/ Sirod Naturals

Blowdried my hair and wearing it in a bun. I’m going to be a straight-haired natural for the winter.
