I bought a steamer a couple of months back to see if it would aid in deep conditioning my hair. It did okay.
A couple of weeks ago, I deep conditioned my hair with a product by Shea Moisture with a plastic cap overnight, rinsed with cold water, and my hair has never EVER, ever, ever, ever been this soft. I have type 4 hair and never thought it could feel like silk like it does. I'm wondering if I should still steam, even though I've gotten my desired results.
With that said, those who have steamers, do they help? Or do you find that deep conditioning using the baggy method works better?

Steaming made detangling much easier and hair stayed moisturized longer. Now I co wash often yet I still steam and love it

Mainly because I don't rest well at all with wet/damp hair.
