In hair purgatory
Oh Em Gee! I have been at this hair growing journey for a while now and i just cant seem to get my hair anywhere past apl. So far its been 2 years and some change and my hair is about 12 inches long.(root to tip) someone please tell me why my hair is still just a bit longer that SL?!?! its barely CBL. Barely.

I'm a shortie (5'1) and as of yet I have not had any magical hair growing fairies or special anointed oils to grow my hair out to APL,BSL or just near it in 2 years of no relaxer. (Where my fairies at forreal? :look:)

Is this just my hair growing slower or is it something else? I know many think height has something to do with how fast a person gets to their goals but I guess I am an example of why this is not always related to height but rather body proportions.

Its going to be a long way to APL but Dangnabbit I am going to enjoy every darn minute of it. And, I bet not see anyone trying to throw some shade like " she is short thats why her hair grows so fast"

/end rant

Me, I'm 5'7 long neck, big forehead, with a pretty stretched out torso. Once my hair (all layers) grows past my head and shoulders it's pretty smooth sailing, but getting to that point is a long tedious process.

I wish I had a giraffe neck and long torso!!! I come from a long line of midgets!!! And I'm the tallest female in the family at an almost 5'6.

My body makes me wait before I reach length goals.

It's okay though, because my hair is hardy and will not be stopped. I may have to wait but the length I want will be on it's way .

I think hair growing takes much longer than any of us thought. No one can say, "I started at big chop in 2014, so in 2018 I will have waist or hip bone length hair."

Inevitably I think hair breaks, grows at different rates, and does some downright strange things. Your bodily proportions are probably just fine. I can't imagine seeing someone with such a freaky head and neck saying, "dang, I bet it's difficult for her to grow some hair cause her head is so big."

Just take it slow. I am anticipating a very lonnngggg journey, even though I'm starting at APL this time around.
