I was visiting a fotki album and there's this girl who makes her own products- right from the fridge! I've tried before, but maybe I used to much. It would be a good pre-poo, though.

I have. I used Hellmans Mayo, conditioner, honey and sweet almond oil mixed together as a protein treatment. I really liked the way my hair felt afterwards, there was less shedding. If you're curious give it a try...you have nothing to lose.

Sometimes i add it to my deep conditioner and it helps a lot with the shedding.

Is there a difference between mayo and miracle whip ?

I wondered about that too...while I was shopping for Mayo. someone told me miracle whip is a dressing....so..I made sure I purchased the Mayo

I like mayonnaise, it doesn't leave my hair as hard as a cholesterol/protein treatment.

when its not in braids i do.. i use honey and ORS pak as well... funny smell afterwords (i let it stay over night) but good shiney look once i wahs it out

Mayo is great for the hair (eggs, oil). Makes my hair strong. I use it as a pre-poo or as deep protein conditioner after shampooing. Either way, use a moisturizing conditioner, too.

Miracle Whip is good for the face but not for the hair.
