I'm going to invest in a good standing dryer soon but for the time being i'll just continue using my old Gold n Hot table top dryer. The issue is that I'm kind of slow with mechanical stuff and I realized that I REALLY need to adjust the tilt upward but for the life of me I can't do it lol.

It does have an adjustable tilt. This is the dryer I have...
could anyone explain how to alter the height or tilt??

It's hard to put into words but that gold button in the front if the hood, u have to push that down while holding the arm holding up the hood. Pushing the gold button unlatches the hood from the arm allowing u to adjust. There are usually two different positions for the hood. U should be able to see the notches for the latch placement.
I know, confusing.

Ok, I know that brown button is involved
so hold that button down while holding the neck of the dryer? Should i be tilting the hood at all? Rnjones
Yes, I am still so confused!

just tried and I do NOT get it
I see no change when i press the gold button down. is there a spot i need to be looking at in the neck of the dryer?

When holding the button, u should be able to tilt the hood. But make sure u hold the arm. The hood acts like a hinge. Oh man I wish I could explain it better. I'm sorry. I am looking for a video for u.

^^I can tilt the hood whether I'm pressing the button or not... maybe the dryer is broken?no matter what i do i cant fix it into position. i hear loud snaps but no change in tilt.

When folding up the dryer to put way do u see these notches on the top part of the arm?:

If so those are the level notches. The button in the front control the latches for those notches. Sometimes they get stuck and are hard to release. U have to hold the dryer steady like this

Thanks for asking this question because I have an ion dryer just like this and my hair is still damp after a hour but my eyeballs are DRY!!!! :lachen::lachen:

There are a lot of clicks but just keep playing with it. When my dh wakes up I'll see if he can record me changing the dryer

Guuurl you are so funny! I got this same dryer & had it for years. I still dont know exactly how im always getting the lift & tilt but all I do is shake the crap out of it until I hear a click. Voola!! Tilt!! Lol!!!

This is where the notch should be. So right now it looks like ur in the bottom notch. If u stand the dryer up right. Hold that piece with ur hand and while holding the button just try moving the hood up an down.
