I want fake hair because it can be burned at the tips and i can use mroe water on it (planning on deep condtionering it atleast twice amonth along with MTG and surging it daily but i hear it drys your hair out? so... should i go with real hair for braiding hair or not?:confused:since real hair wont dry out my hair?

I use both, depending on the style! For my cornrow updo, I used synthetic hair. For my last cornrows I used human wet-n-wavy hair.

I dont think the synthetic hair dried my hair out any more than usual. I made sure to continue moisturizing and co-washing as usual.

i think its the quailty of the fake hair because some of it is really smooth (harder to burn though) so i think im gonna go with the fake stuff its cheaper and i have a feeling ill be able to do more stuff with it..

Hhaha my moms been screaming i need put some hair on my head..
plus i have my hairs all up in my hair :lachen: and that aint gonna go grow nothing

I'm not an expert on this,
but kanekalon synthetic hair is supposed to dry out your hair a lot less than cheaper synthetic hair.

mm.. thanks :)
btw i love the highlights.. i'd be one of thsoe people on the street wantting to touch your hair

When I 'transitioned' I used nothing by Kanekalon - and I had no complaints (besides letting them trash my hairline - but that was before I was hair-aware) and considering how I didn't take care of my hair all that well THEN - Kanekalon is definitely what I would use now.
I just get - squicky - over the thought of someone ELSES hair in my head.

*sneaks up behide you and touchs your hair*:look: .....:lachen: id ask FIRST atleast but i know i'd be tempted.. "i'd just be like oooo aaa" Im not rude I'm just saying i'd want to..

I think it depends on whether you are braiding the hair all the way to the ends or leaving some of the hair unraveled. For that half braided, half wavy look, I think human hair is better because synthetic hair would poof up when it gets wet.

I prefer synethetic when the ends are sealed.

I am no hair expert, but from my 3 year experience while living in Hawaii, and my first pregancy I used Kanekalon braid hair .99 cents a pack. I just co-wash every 3 days and when I did my reg wash I did a deep condish. My hair grew from an inverted bob from chin length up to about below shoulder length when I got to the states again...

mm alrightly thank you guys i was so confused with my hair! i was like which one should i go with????? :perplexed i want keep my hair growing but my hands have a mind of their own...
