Faster way to wash, deep condition, and style hair?

I was wondering if anyone could shed some insights on a faster way to wash, deep condition, and style hair (preferably rollersetting). I have been wearing my hair in braid outs for months due to the fact that setting it is so... time consuming.

Case in point, I decided that I wanted to do something cute to my hair because it's New Year's and my hair hasn't seen a curl in months.

I washed, deep conditioned for 30 minutes, rollerset on purple rollers, then dried my hair under the pibbs on 50 degrees for 1 hour and 1/2. I then flat ironed my roots as I was removing the rollers, I'm about 9 weeks post relaxer. The entire process took about 3 hours including the jumping in and out of the shower, drying off... etc...etc.

However, I love the results. Soft, bouncy, curly hair. I just don't think I'll have the time, especially considering I'm about to have my first baby in about 4 weeks.

How do you ladies do it? Any tips for making this go faster?

3 hours sounds fast to me! It takes me forever just to detangle..The only thing I can think of since you're relaxed is trying the saran wrap technique instead of flat ironing

I don't rollerset so I can't give you tips on that but I do wash/condition in a different order.
Instead of getting in and out of the shower I just rinse my hair either at the sink or bathtub and add my DC then. Keep it on for however long (usually overnight) while I'm doing other stuff. Then get in the shower, wash, do whatever else, and get out and style. This way I'm not getting in and out of the shower, which is a waste of time to me.

I DC on dry hair, that way I only get in the shower once. I do a light shampoo, then condish and out. That is about 1 hr. Then I roller set if I dry under the hooded dryer that will take 1.5 or less. That is 2.5 hours, then I might wrap and go back under with the saran wrap. Not much less than yours. Sorry did not help at all did I?

When I don't have a lot of time I do Pokahontas' :notworthy" cheat rollerset where I comb my hair into one smooth ponytail and just roll the ends on five or six rollers. It takes 10 minutes. The top of the hair doesn't dry all the way under the dryer, but I suppose you could blow that out or flatiron it later.

Also, to avoid jumping in and out of the shower I rinse my DC out in my laundry sink.

I agree with Sevetlana. You could DC on dry hair, but if you are like mel and like to DC on wet hair you could dampen your hair section by section with a spray bottle, blot, and then apply your DC. This way you don't have to jump in the shower twice (or even three times) but your hair is still damp. You could also try cutting your DC time. Sometimes I only DC for 15 minutes. The recommended time is anywhere between 15 to 30 minutes so you could do the minimum amount of time.

I do this too...DC on dry hair, poo, Aphogee 2 minute reconstrucor (when needed), instant condish...done

You can shorten rollerset time by doing the ponytail cheat set.

Thanks ladies, for my next session, I'm going to DC first, then try the ponytail rollerset and see how that works. I knew you all would have some tips for me
