Well I don't profess to be a flat iron expect by any stretch of the imagination, but you you can obviously find cheaper irons at a cheaper price according to your need and budget. With the Runway in particular the plates are completely ceramic, whereas the cheaper irons can sometimes be ceramic coated and once the ceramic has been stripped to reveal the metal plates the irons are virtually useless and damaging. I think with the FHI you are paying for salon quality tools as well as buying into the brand.
So I called and the lady said that she will probably get them in from her supplier next week (but she said that two weeks ago as well). She said that the manufacturer is all sold out and is in the process of making more. I let her know that it is going on a month and she already charged my credit card
. She said the only thing she can do is overnight it to me when she receives it. I am getting nervous and pissed. I know it is probably out of her control, but I am impatient.

I will cancel my order. I also asked her about charging my account before sending the iron and she informed me she does this because the company wants to get paid first. I live two hours from San diego so she can over night the item to me. If not then I am just going to bit the bullent and order from fhi. I am also becoming impatient.
OK, I will do the same. Too bad we did not receive the great customer service everybody else did. However, I think I see some on amazon for prices close to what we paid. Maybe I will check those out. Did she tell you that she thought she could get it to you by Wednesday?

I called them today and they informed me that they are in the process of moving their warehouse and they are unable to check any orders. I was also told that they are expecting an order in at anytime now (yea right). Me personaly I am tired of all the excuses so tomorrow as she informed me I can cancel my order. She also informed me that they will call everyone to let them know what is going on with their order. Just an FYI I called FHI to find some authorize sellers and I found Frizzy 2 Silky for $350 with free shipping.

I think the Runway has 5 or more baked ceramic layers. The technique has only 3(and no temp gauge), but all their irons are ceramic. Its suppose to be one of the best flatirons out there. One day I will upgrade, but I like my technique a lot.
OK, I will just cancel my order as well and go with Frizzy 2 Silky. I know I can trust them. She was so ridiculous. It seems like every week she kept saying "any day now" and I clearly see the flat iron on other websites and it is in stock. She wasted a month of my time!
