Hey ladies!!!!

I just wanted to stop by and show you guys my hair! I am a slow grower & it is very difficult to stay positive when you don't see results! I've been natural since August 2010 & my last relaxer was around January of that same year. I know its not a lot of growth compared to a lot of people out there whose hair grows like grass but I'm satisfied!

Enjoy! :spinning:

I think you've done well. I am a slow grower also and other 5-6 inches a year is not my reality, so I understand you have celebrate every milestone. Don't get discouraged because healthy healthy, strong hair will last longer than any trendy cut or others long and damaged hair. or at least thats what's keeps me going. Congrats again.

congrats....you've been growing and retaining but shrinkage is something else....when you flatiron you'll see. :) your hair looks healthy and your curls are purdy!

looks like its grown a good amount especially on the sides. I bet if you straightened you would b surprised. your curls are really pretty.

Thanks!!!! I do plan to straighten my hair sometime soon..especially before the summer hits bc the humidity here in Louisiana is too ridiculous for me to even consider doing it in the summertime smh

manter26 - I have MAXIMUM shrinkage so if I were to let my hair shrink (which I hardly ever do!) it would be almost as short as it was a year ago!

Blairx0 - Yea I have learned that I can't compare my hair growth with other people's! That's what used to get me!

Congrats on your growth and thickness! I am learning as well that my hair journey is mine, don't compare with someone else's.

Slow and steady wins the race, sweetie! The density of your hair is amazing. I'd trade my quick growing thin hair for yours anyday!

Don't get discouraged. Sometimes this site makes it hard to appreciate your own progress. I'm guilty of it too.

Bottom line is that you have gorgeous healthy hair. And your growth doesn't seem as far off as you think.

That's a lot of growth. I can't wait to see it when it's flat iron. Your curls are pretty. Great job!
