Fooled by the Bra-Strap!

Have you ever been fooled by your bra? Here's my story . . .

After 12 wks I decide to give myself an Affirm Fiberguard Normal relaxer and I'm so excited because I feel so much new growth especially after I started using MN the last 3 weeks.

I relax successfully, then blow dry carefully and finally put back on the original bra I had on for the results and WHAM I am GRAZING bra strap!!!

Then . . . I want to continue my excitedment and started put on other bras just to see how it looked and to my SURPRISE my hair looks shorter . . . . I get another bra . . . . it's longer WHEW! okay, just one more bra . . . it's shorter! Arrrrggggghhh! I give up.

I feel it's a little longer and I'm determined to always use my original black bra for meausuring!

Yep! I have a brown bra in my April-June 2006 album and it is touching bra-strap, but when I put my white bra that I always use it is two inches away. So I know the feeling, but your hair is beautiful and you will be there in no time.

hahahaha, you guys are funny!!! I use ony one bra to measure my hair b/c I know all of my bras fit differently. This way I can really derterimin how much growth I've attained

Also because my boobs are so big I have to use those bras with 4 hooks (yes 4) So someone who's bra has 1 to 2 clasps their will be more inches below bra strap than mine. I measure with the tape measure. It's the only accurate way for me.

I know all about those four clasps. The lowest I can ever go is three.

This is a first! Terica, it's not that I can't believe you tried on different bras "with your hair." But I can't believe you actually took pics and posted them all for us in the different bras. But alas, only us, your hair obsessed sisters would understand. Use one bra as your "hair bra" (we all have one) to gauge your progress. You and your hair are beautiful regardless though.

But at the same time I can feel your pain. Imagine being 5'9", slender with a long torso and a long neck. I mean, i will NEVER reach bra-strap!!! argh!! I get depressed when snapping hair pics so i dont even bother, although i did notice that I am a FULL APL now!! Now just grazing APL anymore. YAY!!!

Same here...but I stopped doing the bra thing. Now I am just trying to get to that first mark/dent (something I seem to have been born with) on my back. Once I get there, I will officially be waist length. Bras can lie, body marks dont, lol...

Girl I know exactly what you are saying! WhenI started my journey I "designated" one bra-that lilttle black one. Though I can barely fit it in the chest area I like where it sits on my back.

Personally I think you should stick with the first white one. BTW, your hair is the bomb. I love it!

ITA!!! I was just thinking about this topic myself as I examined the back of my hair. I have one of those 4-hook bras that sits very high on my back. It really is up to my shoulder blades for support. I call them my "Brunhilde Bras" because they're like Amazon Warrior armor, those things.

I could never use one of my bras as a BSL measurement, and wouldn't dare take a "bra strap length" picture in them because they are so high on my back. True BSL on me is about 5 inches below where my actual bra strap. So a tape measure is it for me!

I feel your pain! Being 5'9" myself, it's frustrating knowing that my hair has a lot more traveling to do to get to the brastrap! LOL!
