At what length would you consider your hair long?

I was thinking that if/when my bangs get to collar bone length and my back made it 2 inches past APL. I would feel like I have long hair.

SO when will you feel like you reached Long hair status?
 
lol SL only because i never made it to that nd plus most of the girls down here thier hair isnt that long!
 
I consider BSL to be long.

I will officially be happy with my hair when I reach full APL though.
 
I never made it past Neck Length before LHCF
Now that I have I keep expecting to wake up and my hair will be ear length.

I can't tell you how many times my hair length would disappear.

BSL+ is long hair to me, but I will be extremely pleased with full APL when I finally get there!
 
Shoulder Lenght would be long to me because I've never made it past that before. I'm hoping to hit it before the end of the year.
 
IRL - APL is when I'll start considering my hair long. Then I'll come here, get hair anorexia and think nothing is long enough, lol.

I was feeling a little discouraged that my hair would never be "long"
but it's good to know what you all consider long hair. I know it sounds weird but it helps me stay focused on my goal, and be encouraged about where I am right now in my Journey
 
If the very top part of my hair can reach two inches below my shoulders, at the tip beginning of my armpit then my hair is long. I never had shoulder length hair a day in my life and I'm in my mid 30s.

That's what I'm asking for. The hair near my ears grow the longest and that didn't even reach shoulder length. If my hair can grow to my shoulders, I think it would take about 10-15 years.

I thought the same thing about my hair for the simple fact that I never had shoulder length hair. I don't want to become discouraged. At one time, I was thinking about praying to God, but I thought that would be very unspiritual and displeasing. I think because my hair rest more than it grows the resting phase is retarding my hair growth.
 
Well the bible says that a woman's hair is her glory, so I don't see why you couldn't pray for Glorious long hair:grin:

My Hair history is quite tragic, I got my first chemical at 4 years old, the little bit of hair I had fell out. When I turned nine my mother started using my hair as a guinea pig to decide if she would do something to her hair. <--yes my mother is a piece of work!

Needless to say, IT fell out some more. I got a Wave nuvueau in my teens, kept it for two years when I tried to transition out of that you guessed it, My hair fell out.

For several years I intentially kept it short, then for about 5 more years I just ignored my hair all together and wore wigs and weaves daily.

Then Thank God a friend told me about LHCF. and my hair has never been longer or healthier!:drunk:

I read about that in the bible. Paul is actually addressing some cultural issues the church in Corinth were having. Some of the women cut their hair, thus making it short or shorter, and refuse to cover. I think they were behaving like the heathens around them and bringing it into the church. Paul was saying that God gave women a [natural covering] which is her hair, so there is no need for a woman to cut off her hair because hair serves a purpose as a covering for the head. Those women who cut their hair need a covering so they either had to wrap it with a scarf or something. The "long hair" is pertaining to uncut hair.

Paul also told the men that in nature they shouldn't let their hair grow long. A lot of the heathens in Corinth were gay and whatnot and many men there allowed their hair to grow long and some of the members were bringing this type of culture into the church even if it didn't reflect their culture.

About my hair... I always had short hair. I didn't get a relaxer until I was twelve and all my hair fell out. I did the Jherri curl thing and my hair grew but only to a certain length. Of course when I stop the gherri curl, my hair fell out. I did the Wave Nouveau and that took the cake. My hair actually fell out, not broken off, but fell out. I had extreme thinness and baldness. It took several years for my hair to grow back thick. I tried the weave and braids but that didn't do anything but made my hair dry and fall out. I went natural in 2005 and my hair is at its healthiest, though it is still short in nature and takes forever to grow.
