what kind of heat protectant do you use, and when and how do you apply it???

i just got my maxiglide today and i cant wait to give it a shot, but id like some technique pointers before i whip it out and go to town :D

Well for me, I actually don't use a 'heat protectant' per se, but when I blowdry, I use mane and tail and 911 leave in liquid. Works for me.

well i haven't pressed but i did use a blow dryer and flat iron in one sitting and i used coconut oil. it left my hair really soft.

I use leave-ins and oils (liking coconut oil right now) on wet hair then air dry or blow dry on cold. I apply more oil as needed while straightening.

I use a leave-in right after I wash that dries on my hair. Then, while I'm pressing, I apply "grease"--now I use Summit's Liv hair dress; I formerly used Optimum's satin creme press.
