It's a net weave where the weave is sewn to the net and not the hair. It ends up looking like a full head weave. Check out these links for a start.

That's a good idea, plus it should stay on.

Just to clarify for the OP, it's not the same as using a net while weaving. I used a net for my last (and final for a while) and lost an entire braid.
