Congratulations!!! I wish they would allow regular emojis on here to express proper excitement!! Congrats again!!!

That was an example. I guess I should have put what it should be :)

An A+ week should look like this

M - CW
T - CW
W- CW or W (Post accountability)
R - CW
F - CW
S - W
Su - Hair Oiling, Massage (Post accountability)

It's similar to yours bc you inspired me to change my regimen remember!
I believe wetting hair daily grows hair faster. Since I saw your regimen it encouraged me to change mines

I wish I could wash daily but already sacrificing alot of time. Hopefully it's enough to get to at least SL by the end of summer :)
I'm glad you're trying my regimen! I hope it works for you! I'd give it a good month or 2 to see.

It's something that worked for me in the past and I know it's not something that would work for everybody.

Cheers to long hair!

Took the braid extension hair off the ends of some of my braids. Some of it was really tangled so I decided against doing a knotless braid install this time.
So um...yeah. I regret what I typed when I was sick.

The knotless braids are in and up. I only had 3/4 pack of hair so I mostly did them on the perimeter and the back. Everything looks okay when it's in a ponytail. And of course, all the info about carcinogens in the braiding hair came up while I was doing this. But I was already more than halfway done and I wasn't going to take it out.

I think co-washing works so well for me because I'm stimulating my scalp while giving my hair the necessary moisture.

My hair gets DRY if I don't conditioner wash it and for me, it's not good to go a whole week without doing one :nono:

Today I'm letting my hair rest in my bonnet in it's ponytail. It's my time of the month and it's really heavy and I don't feel like doing much of anything. So my hair is just chilling in one of these. I love these bonnets!

I got a two pack from Amazon a whole ago. One is pink and one is black. I want to order another set so I can have more of a rotation.

@SmilingElephant Did my first wet bun(s) today! Do you wet bun/clip 100% when growing out your hair?

If Co Washing go as smoothly as normal tomorrow, I may start bunning most of the week
Yayyyyy!!

Not 100%...more like 75% or 80 :yep:

I switch up between buns, clip up, and ponytails. Today I've been in my bonnet all day. Didn't touch it at all but I will wash tomorrow.

@SmilingElephant @25InchesStarting'25 I am impressed that you guys wash/cowash so many times a week. I’m barely keeping up with 2x a week.
Do you go through a ton of product (conditioner, leave in, gel, etc)?
Thanks! It's been a challenge since it's that time of the month for me. I've had days when I just don't feel like doing it...and then I see my TBL hair in my mind

I'm not really going through as much product as I thought, but I'm going through enough to use up a portion of my stash in a few weeks

Thanks for the replies @25InchesStarting'25 @SmilingElephant

I wonder if I would use less leave in and gel if I washed/cowashes daily….

Do you guys detangle everytime you cowash/wash. Maybe you already mentioned this - my memory isn’t what it used to be.
I mainly finger detangle...some days I use my Flexi Brush from CurlKeeper to detangle, but I mostly use my hands.

I detangle every time I wash...usually just a light harp method detangling. My hair doesn't tangle up bad at all though. I can run water through it, shampoo it, and it's still mostly untangled.

If I went back to washing once a week, I would have a harder time detangling and LOTS of shedding! :nono:

With washing everyday I barely see any shedding.

@Snoop I stumbled upon a video and was thinking about doing this challenge if enough people were interested. Would you want me to do the challenge here or start another thread?

It's a 75 day challenge that requires taking progress pics daily for 75 days. For those who struggle with the camera, put the camera setting for delay of 5 to 10 secs for stress free pics :)

Here is the link for the inspiration for the 75 day challenge

Lovely lady with thick tresses!

The tips you like best should be used from the video for the 75 day challenge

@GettingKinky @HealthyHair2020 @faithVA @VarieYvette @Chicoro @B_Phlyy @Theresamonet @MzSwift @pikkonoloidlee @CoiledOrchids @newgrowth15 @Kells @Bette Davis Eyes @Meritamen @GGsKin @SmilingElephant @yaya24

For those interested in the 75 day challenge where daily progress pics need to be posted in the thread let me know by replying to this post! You can take pics of one section of hair for simplicity, but it should be the same section of hair for consistency to document progress

If at least two or more people will commit to the challenge we can start on Monday :)

I don't think I could commit to this :nono:. I'm trying NOT to take pictures so I can have my own "Shock and Awe" moment

That being said, I was co-washing in the shower today and I believe I gained my inch back that I trimmed off back on Feb 3rd! So this means I'm on track :yep:

I was thinking about starting a Hip or Tailbone Length in 3 years challenge. Don't know how many would be interested in that :look:

So I just did my measurements. I think I can be scraping HL by the end of the year! I hope I did it right :look:

Current Length: around 26 inches on me (BSL/MBL)
WL: around 30 inches
HL: around 34 inches
TBL: around 36 inches

My hair grows around 0.75 inches per month, so by December I will have grown 6 inches putting me right above HL :weird:

Here hair is really pretty.

I will take some of her tips. It isn't wise for me to take pictures too often. My growth rate isnt a fast one. I tend to get obsessive with too much measuring and then I get discouraged.

Taking daily photos is what she mentioned for the challenge. She said if you are following good hair practices your hair will grow and if it hasn't by 75 days then you're doing something incorrect in your regimen. I totally understand that taking pics daily is not easy and what makes it a good challenge. I totally understand if you're not up to it since it would take much dedication to keep up with daily pics for 75 days!

I'm not sure that I would take and post everyday. My hair is in two strand twists and will shrink over that time.

I think that I would disagree with the statement that if you're not seeing growth in 75 days that you're doing something wrong. For slow growers, you pretty much have to squint to see half year's growth let alone a quarter year's growth.

Earlier this week, I'd opened one of the old threads to start reading for inspiration. I'm not sure how many people would participate in it (just because there doesn't seem to be a lot of people around.) Maybe you could try bumping one of the older threads?

I was actually thinking about what you would do if your hair is in braid/twist, I guess you can take pics of the new growth?

I don't have an opinion on hair growth rates. Not sure about the different growth rates between people. She was adamant that doing the challenge following her tips you would see growth. I'm already doing most of the things she's mentioned. If I'm consistent I should see growth in 75 days like she says

Since it looks like no one is up to the challenge, I might post weekly length checks to see if taking frequent photos is helpful to maintain consistency. It would be just the nape section, but not sure yet
I will definitely cheer you on. Would love to see weekly photos.

I’m so jealous that your hair grows so fast. I don’t even get half an inch in a month.

I'm sorry  I hope you all don't take it as bragging, I'm just sharing my journey and progress:hug2:

I don't have anyone in real life to talk hair with. I have a whole Facebook hair growth challenge group and no one is participating :cry3:

So I come here to share and get my fix :drunk2: I don't mean any harm.

My hair grows fast, but it's not really thick. It's medium/low density.

Have you tried any growth aides?

@25InchesStarting'25
The 75 day challenge sounds interesting, but I know I wouldn’t be consistent enough to join. At most I could do a weekly picture. Best case scenario my hair would grow about an inch in 75 days.
I'm on the fence about taking weekly pictures, but if you would commit to posting weekly pictures, we could start from weekend March 8th to weekend May 24th :)

So you were in those threads too! :detective: I've been reading them for inspiration myself. I wonder whatever happened to Vintagecoilylocks.

Maybe I'll find one and bump it. I bumped some other old threads but wasn't sure if that was okay to do.

I just noticed something when looking at the "Growth Aid Challenge" group yesterday. @SmilingElephant and others are taking supplements for hair growth. I just started taking MSM for health in February and saw that it was a growth aid in that group. Are you or have you taken a growth aid supplement in the past? Diet is important to hair growth as well
Yes AND drinking LOTS of water :guiness::guiness::guiness:

When it comes to drinking water, I am a mermaid! I even invested in a Stanley!

Keep doing what you are doing. We know you aren't bragging. It seems more like excitement to me.

Keep sharing and posting. I am enjoying it. And watching you grow your hair and try new things gives me something else to focus on, which at times I need.

You also never know when you might share something that others can use.

I'm ok to brag that my online cousin gets an inch a month. I will take that growth by proximity.

I could try bi-weekly. I'm a bit stuck right now in that I should be taking more pictures and posting however, I've "committed" to not coming my hair until the end of May/beginning of June. One month in and my hair is starting to look rough. I'm telling myself that if I were starting my loc journey, this is what it would look like. I'll just try to post more pics and see where we end up.

I've been doing alright drinking bamboo leaf tea. I'm not sure if there is a limit to how much I should drink in a day, but I think it might be easier to drink than water. I hate drinking water. I should drink way more though.

I've started doing 15 min/night of yoga. I'm going to start increasing soon and hopefully that will help with blood flow and all other good things for my body. (It already has, but I'm not sure if I'm getting any benefits for my hair...though that's not the reason why I'm doing it.)

I love yoga...when I can get in the mind frame to do it

Haven't done it in a while, my body is so stiff! I like to go walking sometimes in my neighborhood for 30 minutes.
