And now for my millionth question today, lol (thanks for your patience):

I know that heat (blowdrying etc.) is bad for the hair but what about doing hot-oil treatments with a heating cap, is that bad for the hair too?

As far as I know heating caps help when doing a hot-oil treatment because it the heat gently opens up your hair cuticles and allows the oil (or conditioner) penetrate deep into the hair shaft. Hope that helps!
