I need help and information on using Henna...

Can You guys post pics of the henna you use?

Can relaxed / hair use it?

How long do you leave it on for?

Ect... I need the 411

Well I just rinsed some out of my hair and now I'm sitting with indigo. This is only my 2nd time so I'm still learning. I purchased the henna and indigo for African hair from Mehandi.com.

I mix the henna with water and let it sit for 12 hours then apply to my freshly wash and deep conditioned slightly damp hair in four sections cover with plastic caps and let sit for 3-4 hours. I rinse that out with conditioner and towel dry my hair and I apply the indigo for an hour, rinse and deep condition again.

I know that other henna thread is so long, I didn't read the whole thing but you can also do a google search. Another member has a blog that's great also (sorry can't post a link).

I love henna now and I will be making this a keeper in my regimen

This is also the same one I purchase. Body Art Quality, safe for Relaxed Hair. They give good instructions too.

I have a Considerable amount of Grey, So I mix mine with ACV and let sit about 10-12 hours (until the dye releases). I Co-Wash My Hair with a Super Moisturizing Conditioner. i.e. Silk Elements Mega Silk, PM Super Charged, CON, Something really, really Moisturizing.

Then I apply the Henna to Clean, Damp, Hair and Wrap with Saran Wrap for about 3-4 Hours.

I think Rinse for a Long time with Clear Water. Then I Rinse again with V05 Moisture Milks, Suave or some other Cheapie Conditioner for a Long time as well.

Then I Mix my Indigo and Apply overly Henna'd Hair. And Leave that One for about 1 Hour.

And Viola' Perfection. Absolutely Strong, Blingin' Shiny Hair. Love It.:cloud9:

It's a Keeper for Me As Well. I will Neva' Eva' used Bottled Color Again.
