Hi everybody! I just purchased some Castor Oil from whole foods and I noticed that it said cold pressed and cold processed :ohwell: . Is this still ok? I plan on using it to seal my ends. I'm a 4b natural and my hair can get fairly dry. Also for the ingredient it only says Castor Oil. Thanks for any advice!

cold pressed is actually preferred when buying oils.

Oh good because I didn't feel like going back to the store. Thank you!

Yes. Cold pressed is preferred. When oil is heat processed the heat damages enzymes in the oil. Killing the beneficial properties the oil possesses.

Expeller pressed. Cold pressed. Unrefined. All of these are the least damaging oil extraction methods. An therefore are preferred.

Just wondering, how does this smell compared to regular castor oil and Jamaican black castor oil?
