properly take care of your hair while its in cornrows (w/added hair, not just mine)? Pardon the stupid question, but since joining LHCF I know what I was doing before was wrong. And I'm hoping to get some growth out of this so I definitely wanna know what I'm doing so I can do it right.

Like, how do you wash and moisturize your hair? When you wash dont they frizz up? My plan from June til Sept is to wear cornrows (stretching), and probably get them redone every 2 weeks or so.

Thanks ladies!

Personally, back when I always wore cornrows, I never washed and conditioned them since I only kept them in for about 2 weeks and I didn't want them to get frizzy. I would just spray them with some moisturizer, maybe put a little bit of something on my scalp and kept it moving.

The most important thing is to make sure they are too tight and pulling your edges. Also make sure you moisturize your hair. You can do that by washing/conditioning or just moisturizing with whatever you normally use.

I'm sure others will chime in.
