Not good. :nono: I am almost 12 weeks post (touchup due at 14 weeks), with about 2 inches of new growth. My 4-day-old spiral set is looking tired...probably due to my cardio sessions from the last couple of days. The curls are starting to droop; they almost look like twists :lol:...so I'm rocking this 'do until Saturday. :ohwell:
 
Mine looks better now. I flatironed it. Its so shiny, soft, and healthy-looking. I'm scared to run my hand through it.
 
My hair looks cute today. messy cute haha. On saturday I used a waver on a shoot, so I had these deep pretty waves, each night I just put some coconut oil on my ends and put my hair in a loose bun under a scarf, I let the bun down in the a.m. and I have these nice loooose waves going on. It's cute and I feel nicole richie ish haha. I'll take a pic. I'm getting a deep trim and straighten tonight so I'll take a pic of that too and post it on my hair blog.

And like you, you couldn't have paid me to put on a wig before I joined this site.
 
Mine is in a wet and wavy looking style. I tried for the first time setting my hair in small bantu knots with leave in moisturizer and oil and tying it down. I took it down on monday and it looked absolutely cute. I have it like that again today. I think tomorrow it will go back up into a loose bun.
 
I've been rockin a fierce braidout all week and show stoppin while I'm at it! Everyday I keep falling in love again with my natural hair. It never ceases to amaze me :grin:
 
My hair is NOT looking good today. I had to throw on my wig this morning. Yesterday, I washed my hair w/ the V05 Kiwi Lime clarifying shampoo. Then I put on the Aphogee 2-min for 2 minutes. I didn't use a plastic cap or heat with it. Then I rinsed it out thoroughly and put on the KBB Luscious Locks hair mask for 30 minutes under low heat (heating cap). Then I rinsed it out & sprayed some CD Black Vanilla Leave In followed by the V05 Miracle Mist.

My hair was so hard when I combed through it with my fingers and the comb. It flat-ironed straight on one pass, but I still can't comb through it. I know it was the Aphogee. It made my hair feel the same way that the ORS Pak made it feel, which isn't surprising b/c they both have similar ingredients. I was wondering if the hair mask contributed to the hardness b/c of the yucca, amla, and shikaki in it, but I don't think so.

Earlier today, I was telling myself that I have to accept the fact that my hair is very fine and can only hand protein in limited doses. I also have to stop trimming. My hair is shorter now than it was in January 2007. When I flat-ironed yesterday, I trimmed the ends so that they'd come out straight (terrible, I know:nono:). From now on, I'm only doing S&D's and clipping knots.

I'm so sorry to hijack the thread. It's just that I've been frustrated with my hair all day.
 
My hair looks exactly like the Feb 2009 pic in my siggy, except I just dusted off a little less than a quarter inch a few minutes ago...:giggle: Just got a touch-up this week.
 
My hair is like my avatar picture. I have gotten compliments from some of my coworkers on my hair. I really like this style because it is low manipulation and maintenance.
 
My hair is flat! I just got a relaxer after holding out for 4months so I hate how flat it looks. I'm about to wash this mess outta my hair with a neutralizing shampoo. Yuck!

I got my color and cut last Friday and have been wrapping each night since then. I haven't wrapped my hair in forever and I forgot about the natural oils your/my hair produces. I haven't used any products on it since last week (I know, was trying to see how long the "swang" would last) so the sliminess:grin: is definitely my own hair oils.

Today is my last day wearing it down this week. (shoot, I wanted to wash the very next day after I got it done last week!)
I will be washing this stuff and since I don't have enough to make a "real" bun now, I think I will pull it back in a ponytail and put a cute scarf on it for tomorrow (or figure out some kind of way to "hide" my hair in the scarf)

I'm just sitting around the house with four big dookie twists and a scarf on, lol. It's gonna look nice when i take the twists out though.
 
Good I just relaxed last night. I am touching bra strap with a few strands already. Doing a 30 day no direct heat personal mission. So I won't see the real length just yet. It's back in a bun.
Remember I had to do a lot of cutting last month. So if not for that. I would maybe be bra strap more so since that pic in my avatar looks bra strap to me already. But thats old and from before I had to do a lot of cutting do to splits.
