How to make a bun ( for shorter hair)

I am having techincal difficulties. When I view the post the pics are there and when I return they are gone. I will try one more time. If it doesn't work I will repost another day!

Are all of the pictures on a Geocities web site? If so, Geocities does not allow direct linking.
 
Girl I see your pictures and that is a very good idea. My hair is about 7-10 inches in various places and this will do wonders for me. I was wondering how to do one with my shorter hair. Thank you very much. Great idea!!!
 
Well thanks Allandra I tried changing them to Andale. I use them most of the time but that isn't working either. This isn't the first time I have had this problem. Sometimes when I am changing my signature pic it does the same thing. The only thing that appears are a bunch of url's and no pics. I am going back to try andale once more.
 
Your bun is very nice. I used to do mine like that too. My sixteen year old niece showed me. I think it's a great way to form the bun (nice and perfect).
 
Thanks Allandra. It looks like this is going to be the style I were for a while. I am so tired of phony pony's and instant weave till it ain't funny.!

Also I wanted to ask how long do I have to edit the post? Maybe if I try again tommorow I can get some results.

Thanks and it works great because you don't have to use anything really but the scrunchie to hold it in. It is pretty secure without hairpins.
 
whoa i like the way u did that bun !! great idea girl!! where did you get that bun thingy..and the hairagami?
i would like to use that as well...i could use that style and leave it up for a few days at a time....just cover it up at night and go.....

Asummertyme, thanks. I think I bought the hairigamin at walmart. When I bought it I actually used it to put a bun in my hair when it was a lot longer. May as well recycle until I can use it unassisted! Works like a charm.

Thanks DSD, I'm making this one of my favorites. My hair is growing but is still thin. I would like to start wareing my own hair but wouldnt because its so thin Now you have given me an idea so I can ware my own (almost)

Most of the ladies in my church ware their hair in buns. I go to a multi-racial Pentacostal church where its believed women shouldnt cut their hair, and all of the white women have super long hair. Down to their butts and below, well they always take all that beautiful hair and put it up in a bun I always said if I had hair like that I wouldnt dare ware one of those pentacostal buns. Well God forbid, I think I lied. and I'm not even close to that length. BUT I WILL BE

DSD, your presentation and instructions were so clear. When I do the bun, I just put the hair in a scrunchy and let me tell you, its not very cute (on me). Your method is so elegant. Thank you for sharing this.

I have been in that exact same situation before so I understand completely what you are going through. I am glad that my idea can help. You can just wear your hair that way until it gets as long as all your other sisters. They won't even be able to tell because it looks so natural. Go on and sport your "Pentecostal Bun" and sport it well!
