This is a big problem for me, exspecially after a relaxer. I just cant stop touching and pickin at my hair.
Not, only do I keep messing @ it, but I continue to add stuuf to it like( oil, moisturizer, etc..) I know once or twice a day should be enough, but I cant resist the urge.
I've been seriuosly thinking about getting some braids, but my hair DO NOT like braids at all, and it's getting a bit warm, so the wigs are about to be put up.

So ladies what do you suggest I do to recover from the hand-in-hair disease? I really would apprecate any response

I do this too, but you must let it breath sometimes, right?

I was cured once it all started coming out...then I moved on to protective styles..I so sed to it that if I try to wear my hair out, I get uncomfortablt I have to put it up

i get hand in napps disease REALLY bad as i get closer to my touchup...like now

I have all these:
Coilytis (thanks Pookeylou)when its time for a re-touch. I just love the texture
Normal hand in hair disease - after re-touch
PLUS LOL checking the mirror disease - anytime

So unfortunatley you are asking the wrong 'addict'

i CANNOT keep from twirling the hair in my nape around relaxer time. other than that, no hih disorder here...

each time you reach to play with your hair, give yourself a scalp massage instead.Works for me!

GREAT idea, the only thing is, I will use that as an excuse to pick up the comb and start combing and parting away

.
This is crazy, I feel like a mother that badly wants her child to stop sucking his thumb, but dont have a clue how 2 stop it from happening.....

I wish there was a cure! I was doing pretty good with leaving my hair alone...until my stylist used Deep brilliance in my hair...it left it silky...and my fingers couldn't help themselves.

I will go back to braiding it up and leaving the bonnet on around the house again.

Ever since I started my hair routine based off of principles learned on LHCF, I just left my hair alone... Don't know why. I'm also not in the mirror NEARLY as much as I used to be. I guess something inside me said "my hair is growing, so don't worry about it."

I have the checking in the mirror disease. No wonder i get late for work, checking that every hair is in place in my bun, especially making sure the edges are smoothed down. My buns have to be perfect

I don't know either, but I'm thrilled that I'm not alone! Some days I "moisturize" 3 times and change "styles" once I'm home at least 3 times. I even style and moisturize before I hit the pillow.
