He called me at work and asked, "What are you doing this weekend?"

I told him, "I might get my hair cut."

He asked, "Why?"

I replied, "Because it's damaged."

He said "Well, if it's damaged, you made need to put those chemicals back in your hair again!"

Is he crazy!?

But I explained to him that it was the ends of my relaxed hair that was damaged.

It wasnt like I was talking to him about it. Plus, he already knew about me going natural anyway because my mom told him one day back in Dec I think. Did you read my post? I wasn't talking about him not supporting natural hair. I could care less if he's against or not because I'm going natural no matter what. I just wanted to share the comment he made which I thought was crazy.

LOL! That's funny! Today my mother made an off comment about my daughter's hair. She thought it would be "bad" like my DH mother's hair and was worried (my mother in law's hair is natural and she wears it short and doesn't take care of it at all). She said….."her hair is growing and is getting so long now. I'm so glad it didn't turn out like (insert name)'s mother's hair." I said Ma? Bad hair is hair that isn't taken care of properly. If I let her hair dry out and didn't take care of it like I do now with constant washing/conditioning and proper moisture, it would LOOK like his mother's hair. She paused and said….yeah, that's true. You do take good care of it. DUH!

LOL, I'm glad you cleared that up. I hate when people use the term "bad" hair for hair that isn't straight or curly. As if straight or curly hair isn't susceptible to damage.
