I don't feel so much like a murderer....more like i just brutally assaulted my hair...

I'm developing a flat-ironing phobia actually. A lot of my hair strands are so fine, i dunno...i'm starting to think flat ironing isn't for everyone. :nono:

Lol @ brutally assualted

I get nervous when I straighten my hair in fear that my hair will be pin straight after I wash. I do have some heat damage but it's not weak or falling out but the fear is there. The weird thing is that I have no issue using the blowdryer on my hair just the flatiron.

Murderer?!! LOL you're so funny

No I don't feel that way at all. I just see it as one more hairstyle my hair can do.
The SECOND water touches my straight hair all of my curls come back so I don't worry at all, its not even a thought. The reason why I went natural in the first place was to enjoy straight and curly styles.
After the blood massacre is over, especially with a Bantu Knot out, i do enjoy the results though :)

Sometimes I get a little...ok a lot nervous when I'm flat ironing. I just don't want any damage to my hair. I get what you're saying OP.

The manipulation that comes with using the small tooth comb or brush with the comb chase method is what really makes me feel terrible. I hear popping and hair is all over the place. The heat doesn't scare me so much. So far this year I straightened for Easter and I won't again until december to end my challenges. So I understand, I guess.
