I have never in my life been weave checked. I don't understand how this happens.

First of all, congratulations on your weave check.Secondly, the next time it happens it's best to bob and weave (no pun intended) like a boxer and then commence to slapping and moving forward with the knees. All the while looking graceful like a ballet dancer.
These stories almost have a sexual assult type of feel to them.erplexed

They do, it's just too personal. Some of these stories sound like somebody needs to file a police report.
Then she said: “It’s so long!” I said: “No it’s not, it used to be down here (mid back & waist length), now it’s at the tip of my bra clasp. See it’s not a weave. The right side was about five inches longer than the left side. Then I proceed to pull my hair in opposite directions to show her that there aren’t any tracks.” She said: “My hair has never been longer than neck length, but I cover it with a wig.”
and then she does a serious, aggressive weave check with both of her hands. Maybe she’s looking for “glued-on hair” since she can’t find tracks. All the time she is laughing. I try to play if off by saying: “I told you this is not a weave. From time to time, strangers will ask if I’m wearing a weave, but I tell them the truth. This is my natural hair.” Well, I know what a weave check feels like now, so I sympathize with you ladies. Now you see why I refuse to share my hair care regimen with women like this. If they ask for products, I’ll give them the crappy stuff that I no longer use on my hair. If they want healthy hair, let them figure it out for themselves.
Do people feel on white girl's breasts because they look squeezable to check for implants? Why do people feel so free to put their hands in your hair?
I feel like only the ladies of LHCF can understand this
I got weave checked back in 2007...I was wearing a straight APL-BSL weave with bangs. I loved it, but it felt a little wiggy. This really cute guy (who is now in the NBA) came up to me at a party and we started dancing, then we talked for a few minutes and he walked away. A few minutes later, I felt this really heavy hand on top of my head, and he dragged it ALLLLL the way down my head. I could feel it rolling over the tracks, manand I was like awwww, man, NO HE DIDN'T!
But now...I haven't had a weave since then. (IDK, maybe I was traumatized by it?) So Saturday my bestie and I went to a Que party, and while I was outside one of the bruhs asked if he could play with my hair when we got inside. I asked him why the hell he would wanna do that, and he said "because your hair looks so...playful" and proceeded to stick his hand up into my scalp! I mean...from nape to crown! I was so shocked I didn't know what to do, but then I realized what was going on and got even more confused. I mean, it was just a wash n go. I didn't freak though, because of course I knew he wouldn't find any tracks. And then he began to smile.![]()

I think if it happens again I'll be more prone to slapping his hand away. Or slapping his face.
Years ago one girl felt through my hair in front of a group of people and announced, "Are you wearing weave? I feel...Nothing!". You're darn right- you feel nothing, I thought (But I did have some tracks located at the bottom-she just missed them since I have alot hair anyway..hahaha! SUCKER!).
