Wow, at least you spent money on stuff that you like! I spent almost $300 last month on hair products trying to find my HG, and my HG products ended up being cheap. Oh, well, at least I found what works for me (still need a daily moisturizer, though).

That's awesome that you lived in the Bay Area! I love it here! My mom grew up in East Oakland, but I live in Richmond/El Sobrante. Did you grow up there? Oh, btw, HG=holy grail. :-)

Grew up in San Francisco but been living on east coast since 1986 relocated to be w/hubby

Synthia I can recommend two great moisturizers -- Elucence Moisture Balancing Conditioner and Paul Mitchell Super-Charged Moisturizer. The Elucence conditioner has "olive oil-derived squalane and coconut triglycerides" to moisturize and detangle. I love this stuff and use it often, either to deep condition or a quick condition or as a leave-in.
I love both of these conditioners especially the Elucence MB. I keep an ample supply of both.

You ladies have me convinced I need this book. I ordered it off amazon so I cant wait to get it.

Thanks for the info on Carolyn Grey.. I am ordering this book.. I am an hair book Junkie..

O BTW.. I hope you spent your money at Sally's vs the ASIAN BSS. I will never give them any more of my hard earned money again.

I remember when I first found this forum and I became a huge PJ. At the time, I was using Keracare, Design Essentials and Elucence. I tried every product mentioned on this forum and a few others. My husband complains that I have over a grand invested in hair care products. But, one day I calmed down, and now I am just using Keracare, Design Essentials and Elucence.

I bought Carolyn Gray's book and followed her regimen for awhile. I have communicated with her via email. She is very nice and lives here in Northern Virginia. I will have to check her website for updates.

LOL! I actually spent the bulk of the $$ online, replacing stuff I had run out of, and trying new stuff like Keracare. I hope you like Carolyn Gray's book...I vary her regiment to suit my needs, but have followed the basic outline for years.....
