I am not very happy with the growth (or lack thereof), but it looks healthier. I really am just thinking of giving up on trying to make it to APL right about now. On the way home from the salon after getting my relaxer, I cried so hard because I was so frustrated and hurt that I was trying to do so much and it was not helping very much. It seems like no matter what i try to do I cannot get the growth that I want.
My mom was not very much help at all, and told me if I wanted to have long hair I could just buy a weave.
I tried to tell her that it's not the same as knowing that it's YOUR OWN hair and that you accomplished a goal to achieve a specific length. She doesnt understand how hard it is for me, and others who have hair that grows very slowly and then on top of that have to try to retain the small amount of growth that they do receive.

)))) I know it gets discouraging. Your hair definitely looks healthier, so you are doing something right
. After health, comes the hair. Keep it growing and you will be at APL before you know it!!!
Don't be discouraged. I feel like that pretty often. Especially after the Hide Your Hair Challenge I was a part of. It's like you're putting so much effort into your hair and it seems like you're always coming up short (no pun intended). Don't give up. It's just going to take a little longer to reach your goals than you first thought. It doesn't mean you can't reach them. Your hair looks a lot more healthier so that's a start. Sometimes health comes before length.
