Yeah, I feel you on the moisture slacking. I was moisturizing twice a day and my hair loved it! Lately I've only been doing it once and I really need to do it more often with this drier air!

Well, a few days ago I was researching ginger (root) benefits for hair and looked online for some ginger root-based/rich conditoners. I found a few but they were priced a bit more than I wanted to spend and I just forgot about it and moved on. Today I was in Big Lots and did not really see anything in the haircare section that thrilled me, but I remember a few months ago finding some bottles of the much raved about DDTA way in the back of the shelf, so I always look at the back of shelf before leaving the haircare section and today I found a one liter bottle of Back to Basics ginger therapy conditioner for $3.50 in the back. I am very happy. I also bought some VO5 Moisture Milks creamy fresh peaches shampoo.

Henna, Indigo, Cassia, Amla powder-I'm going to give them a try this weekend.
Silicon Mix-I tried it tonight and so far so good. My curls were more defined than usual. I'll have to see how my hair looks once it dries completely.
ORS Olive Oil Lotion-This is an oldie but goodie for me.

Thanks for posting the ingrediets, it's nice to know it doesn't contain any mineral oil or anything...but I don't know exactly which of those ingrediets are for moisture or protein, lol....are you using it as your daily moisturizer??

For now it's for deep condtion treatments, it's on the dcheap side so I may use it more, but now I use the $1.79 Suave for that.

You can find Silk Elements at Sally's Beauty. They do have Sally's in Brooklyn. The one I go to is in the Georgetown Shopping Center on Ralph Ave (across from IHOP)
