never dries mine out. if you find it dries out finish with oil rinsing. it will be fine.

personally my hair loves apoghee 2 min.

And what do you think about using a coconut milk deep conditioning in place of a protein deep conditioning (I'm careful with protein and I absolutely love coconut milk and oil)

I have very fine 4a hair as well and I flat iron my hair all the time. I just think deep conditioning and protein treatments before the heat is a key to prevent damage. To be honest I don't even use a heat protectant and I did have some heat damage once when I switched up my routine but I find when I use shea butter and natural 7 argan oil I don't get heat damage.

Really? You don't use any heat protectant?
How often do you flat iron?

Girls, can you please tell me what you think about doing a coconut milk deep conditioning before straigthening? Coconut is known for strengthen hair. So I guess it can allow the hair to withstand heat better and avoid any heat damage or reduce it.

Really would like to have your opinion about that.
