I've have finally gotten to the point for the first time in my life...where I could cut off all my hair and not sweat it...because I know it will grow back(quickly). I have learned how to take care of my hair(myself) and grow it healthy...I know that there is no such thing as 'black women can't grow long hair'. Those people(women) who have doubted me and 'teased' me no longer do that. I have this forum and the ladies who are 'believers' to thank. There's nothing anyone can say or do to make me feel differently...
I have proof... (I love 'shutting up' haters and doubters)
Thank everyone!

How neat for you, I can't wait to get to the stage where I know how to take care of my hair outside of braids

. I know it's to be treated like fine lace, but otherwise, I'm pretty lost right now

.

But my attitude about hair in general has changed and I was thinking along your same lines as you this morning. Don't you know my hair has had soooo many set backs that the second to last one had me depressed

and I didn't leave my home for THREE weeks

! Today, out of the clear blue, I thought that if something happened (which it WON'T!), I will just regrow it! Yes it grows extremely slow, but it will grow. Someone once told me that people were hatin so much on her friend's hair that they cut her ponytail clean off in a movie theatre! How evil is that?!

I hope it doesn't take long until I am able to be like you in knowing how to take care of it and grow it healthy and quickly. Congrats on your success!
