My stretch is over. No more August 1. My hair is saying do not ever stretch this long again. I am going to the BSS and I will update with pics. Wish me well.:ohwell:

15 weeks. I took my braids down last night- why am I looking like Ben Wallace from the Bulls?:lachen: I noticed that my hair has reached the point where stretching is doing more harm than good.

why are you upset OP? 15 weeks is pretty good! :yep: that's enough that you know you won't be overlapping when you apply your retouch... i think you should be proud. shoot my transition only lasted about that long! :lachen:

But 15 weeks is good! Listen to your hair.

I know what you mean, I am 3 months in and after 10 weeks it's IMO too much manipulation to get my hair to look nice down. I've decided that i will keep relaxing every 10 weeks, that's my hair's personal preference, and I won't feel bad about it anymore.

You held out for a loooong time. I'm sure you have plenty of healthy growth to show for it :yep:.

I feel you girlie...i am 16 weeks, trying to hold for Aug myself but i can not go any longer with this maddness on my head!

My hair is starting to get out of control right now.

Good luck.

15 weeks is a good time span!! Congrats!! I hope your relaxer goes well!! I'm still stuck on my goal of August 1st. It's goin well so far. I kinda want braids for this last month though.

Oh yeah I give up on any nice straight rollerset look after week 8. I usually stretch to 12 weeks wearing two big braids that I cowash daily. If I feel like looking nice I might do a super curly roller set. This time I'm trying to stretch to 16 weeks.

Yup, not everyone benefits from long stretches. When I was relaxed the most I could go was 10 weeks. After that I would get breakage.
