Jul 11 12 13 14 15 What Are Your Weekend Hair Plans?

I’m away on vacation this week so all my products were left behind. I got some new stuff that will be left behind. Will skip the usual weekend routine.

WEEK
- Cowash any day that I go to the pool with Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Cowash (I try not to get my hair wet because want to have to take all the twists down and redo them)
- Moisturize with TGIN Green Tea Leave-In Conditioner
- Seal with TGIN Butter Cream

SUN
- Moisturize and seal with a moisturizer and coconut oil and shea butter on the ends

Pre-poo: Anabelle's Pre-poo Treatment under heat for 15 mins
Clarify: Redken Cleansing Cream
Poo: Keracare Hydrating Detangling Poo
DC: Mielle Protein Free DC under heat for 30 mins
Leave-ins: Annabelle's
Heat Protectant: Kenra
Dry: RevAir

Saturday:
Flat Iron: EAPheat
Trim: The Mane Choice scissors
Curl: EAPheat
 
I installed some Boho type box braids on the 1st, (using my own hair) so it was time to show my hair some love.

Today, I:
Spritzed some rosewater on my fingers and gave myself a nice scalp massage and moved the sebum down the length. (This has been working wonders for keeping my scalp in check and my hair moisturized by using my sebum)

Spritzed the ends with rosewater

Moisturized them with my Marshmallow Rose Conditioning Milk

Then sealed with Shea Nilotica.

Styled the boho braids in a braided ponytail.

I'll take them down at the 3 week mark and rock a braidout for a week before I reinstall them. My hair has been easy breezy as of late.
 
Taking a break from shampooing and conditioning this weekend since I did mine on Wednesday. I will however be moisturizing my hair probably pretty heavily with QB BRBC and some grease :grin:.

I may even apply my diy fenugreek oil on my scalp as well. I have a bit of a busy weekend doing other things but will get back on schedule next weekend.

The water here is hard and the weather is very dry. I never felt my hair be this dry before. I moisturized and sealed my hair with TGIN leave-in and coconut oil.

I redid some random twists and saw that my hair was starting to tangle so the coconut oil should help give my hair some slip to avoid matting.

Scalp Treatment: PJN Black Rice Scalp Defog Treatment (left half) & Cantu ACV Root Rinse (right half)
 
Got a long overdue Deva cut on the 11th. I was looking a bit mullet-ish.
Did a quick WNG with Deva Decadence shampoo and conditioner yesterday after the gym because I didn't get good results from the styling products she used (not a dig on the stylist, the product combo just didn't work out for me). Out of the shower all I used was Aunt Jackie's Don't Shrink elongating gel and I'm loving the results.
 
It's too darn hot and DD's hair sucked all and any energy I may have had.
For her:
Cowash: Hask Repairing Conditioner
Leavein: Mielle Pomegranate Honey
Moisturizer: Melanin
Sealed with pure Grapeseed oil
I put it into 4 cornrows cause wewe' keeping it super simple.
Yall know this kid is already in the neighbors pool? Like she clearly doesn't respect my effort. I'll be rinsing those cornrows with more conditioner later this evening.
 
Washed w/ SM Raw Shea Butter SH

DC’ed w/ Mielle Organics Protein Free + Canola Oil + Hot Head Cap for 30 min

M&S w/ (L) SM Raw Shea Co, (C) Lottabody Curl Milk, & (B) Homemade Whipped Shea Butter

Protective Style (2 Weeks) w/ Eco Styler Krystal: Sleek Crown Bun

*the coconut oil in my prepoo & my long term ps made my hair fragile. I’m happy to give my hair a break.
 
Saturday
Philip Kingsley Scalp toner- massaged scalp.
Nature's Ego Fenugreek Scalp Serum- massaged scalp for about 10mins or more.
Applied Camille Rose Coconut Water Penetrating Treatment to hair.

Sunday
Shampoo- Provoke Touch of Silver shampoo.
DIY Hydrated Fenugreek Mask on scalp, and mixed with SM LoPo con and smoothed into hair, left for a few hrs while I watched the tennis men's final.
Rinsed.
Leave-in- Diluted TMC Cuticle Control leave-in with water.
Style- Whipped Shea Butter and diluted KCCC.
 
Final routine

Detangle: TMC Easy on the Curls Conditioner
