What has been your biggest challenge in sticking to bootcamp?
My biggest challenge so far has been trying to stay out of the BSS and just sticking to my regimen. I have a hard time going into a CVS or other store without drooling at the products in the haircare isle. If I stick to a set regimen with set products I can better monitor my progress.

What have you learned about your hair these past 30 days?
My hair loves weekly DCs with heat.
I really didn't need to be pooing my hair 3-4 times a week like Cathy Howse; a cond rinse is good enough for me. I poo on DC days only.

What has been your staple hairstyle?
I put my hair in 2-strand twists and set them in rollers over night. I undo the twists every morning; I think it's the cutest my hair has looked at this length.

What, if any, words of encouragement do you have for your fellow bootcampers?
Keep it up ladies!! I am so happy to be doing this with all of you!:p

What has been your biggest challenge in sticking to bootcamp?
Resisting the urge to chop off about 1-2 inches due to split and weak ends.

What have you learned about your hair these past 30 days?
I will need to trim sooner or later.

What has been your staple hairstyle?
Well, I've been at home so much so I've been wearing my scarf. When I'm out, I wear my phony pony.

What, if any, words of encouragement do you have for your fellow bootcampers?
Keep up the good work!

What has been your biggest challenge in sticking to bootcamp?
I haven't had any challenges so far.

What have you learned about your hair these past 30 days?
I learned that my hair loves Hair Mayo as a prepoo and deep conditioning 2x a week.

What has been your staple hairstyle?
Wigs and phony ponies

What, if any, words of encouragement do you have for your fellow bootcampers?
Hang in there...no pain no gain :)

My hardest challenge is not trimming my hair....I'm struggling! I've been trying not to wear my hair down so I don't notice it too much.
I finally found out how to detangle my hair during a shampoo wash so this should help me gain some thickness.
Try to stay focused ladies. It will be rewarding in the end!

Okay soldiers.....Its time to Check-In!

What has been your biggest challenge in sticking to bootcamp? Being that I wearan instant weave, I haven't really had any challenges.

What have you learned about your hair these past 30 days? Nothing It needs lots of moisture.

What, if any, words of encouragement do you have for your fellow bootcampers? We can do it yall! be strong !!!

I will take a pick when I take my cornrows out and before I wash

What has been your biggest challenge in sticking to bootcamp?

What have you learned about your hair these past 30 days?
washing with braids isn't everyones cup of tea. and you have to stay motivated even were there is no visible sign of improvement. i know i am.

What has been your staple hairstyle? cornrows

What, if any, words of encouragement do you have for your fellow bootcampers? keep on keeping on! we'll get there in the end..(i really hope i'm right)

What have you learned about your hair these past 30 days? My hair does very, very well as long as I leave it alone....

What has been your staple hairstyle? Braids

What, if any, words of encouragement do you have for your fellow bootcampers? Be strong!!!! It isn't that much of a struggle when you think about the possible end results.

What has been your biggest challenge in sticking to bootcamp?
No challenges - Most, if not all of the criteria for the bootcamp were things I was already doing: no heat, deep conditioning 2x week, etc.

What have you learned about your hair these past 30 days?
My hair loves water; wants to be poo'd/conditioned and pampered ALL the time!

What has been your staple hairstyle?
Hair pulled back and clipped up using several "Good Day Hair Pins."

What, if any, words of encouragement do you have for your fellow bootcampers?
Keep the goal in your mind; healthy and long hair! When you start to feel weak, go do your nails... That will keep your hands out of your hair (for at least a moment...)

What has been your biggest challenge in sticking to bootcamp?
It actually hasn't been that hard. The basics seem to be working for me so far. I knew I needed to DC after pooing and now I do it as habit.

What have you learned about your hair these past 30 days?
The deep conditioning has definitely improved the condition of my hair, especially with the harsh weather we have here in NY right now. My hair needs it now more than ever.
What has been your staple hairstyle?
Either a loose bun, lightly clipped or just my scarf when I'm in the house (which has been most of the time with below zero temps)
What, if any, words of encouragement do you have for your fellow bootcampers?
STAY STRONG! KEEP YA HEAD UP AND YA HAIR FLY!

What has been your biggest challenge in sticking to bootcamp?
Resisting the urge to go back to a perm. I've been natural for a while now and lately it has been a challenge for me to maintain. I ususally get it cut at least once a month. I'm trying not to cut it though.

What have you learned about your hair these past 30 days?
My hair is very dry and my dandruff woes are coming back with a vengance. I tried Sulfur 8 which used to work for me when I was a child, but it doesn't work for me now. I started using coconut oil & milk as conditioning treatments and will pick up Qhemet's Herbs Pomade because it did help in the past with flakes.

What has been your staple hairstyle?
Shake and go's.

What, if any, words of encouragement do you have for your fellow bootcampers?
Do not give up. As frustrated as I am right now, I know that by reading this board, I will find the right solutions for me.

What has been your biggest challenge in sticking to bootcamp?
The biggest challenges have been not blowdrying and flatironing my hair. Honestly I started to blowdry my hair, but I started to feel guilty after so stopped. Another one of my challenges is protective styling. I love to wear my hair down, so I have limited this to twice a week.

What have you learned about your hair these past 30 days?
I have learned that my hair loves Tresemme and hot oil treatments.
What has been your staple hairstyle?
My staple hairstyle has been a bun.

What, if any, words of encouragement do you have for your fellow bootcampers?
Just think of the end result, it is worth it!!

What has been your biggest challenge in sticking to bootcamp?
I haven't been faced with any challenges yet.

What have you learned about your hair these past 30 days?
I'm still learning what works and don't work for my hair. I know that my hair loves: moisture daily, being finger combed, scalp massages with essential oils. Also, my hair (especially my hairline) hates tight ponytails and brushes.

What has been your staple hairstyle?
I wear a bun 50% of the time, followed by braids 40% of the time, and a 27 piece wig my cousin made for me 10% of the time.

What, if any, words of encouragement do you have for your fellow bootcampers?
Frequently refer to one of the ladies on this boards fotki for inspiration. I find inspiration in JenniferMD, because the nape of my hair looks exactly how hers was.

What has been your biggest challenge in sticking to bootcamp? My biggest challenge has been keeping my hair hidden. Im keeping my newgrowth down with a scarf and putting it in a bun.

What have you learned about your hair these past 30 days? It needs a goshdarn trim is what it needs! I will use a pass in April.

What has been your staple hairstyle? The style in my siggy.

What, if any, words of encouragement do you have for your fellow bootcampers? Lets keep this thing going no matter how discouraged you get!

What has been your biggest challenge in sticking to bootcamp?
Surprisingly, I haven't had any challenges in sticking to my regimen.

What have you learned about your hair these past 30 days?
I've learned quite a few things. My hair needs a heavier moisturizer as my touchup get older, oils just don't cut it. I also learned to balance protein vs moisture.

What has been your staple hairstyle?
Since it's winter I've been wearing hats with my ends in a baggy or buns.

What, if any, words of encouragement do you have for your fellow bootcampers?
Ladies, this is our year. Stay committed and we can do this!!

Sticking to vitamins, which is funny since it's not usually a problem for me.

It really likes relaxers! Or "proper relaxing" I should say (with a good quality relaxer).

What has been your staple hairstyle?
Definitely a bun. Haven't work anything else since Jan 1st. Maybe a slight variation once or twice.

Stick in there! And look at your peers- although I feel like I'm being left behind by many, it's still encouraging to see so many people doing so well! Makes me believe I can reach my goals more and that's half the battle!

Besides that i am doing good, right now my hair is in a sew-in so I have not touched my realy hair since the beginning of the month. Before then I was wearing falls. I officially LOVE sew-ins and I wont be giving it up for a while. I still havent gotten a relxer but I wil definately get one when I take out this sew-in (I think).

I was doing really well until I got sick. I have still be sticking to my bootcamp requirements. I had to let go of the platnium level requirements. I haven't been able to workout, drink 64oz of water, or take my vitamins.

What have you learned about your hair these past 30 days? I have learned that my hair doesn't like to many products.I have been getting the best rollersets with just leave-in & a small amount of serum.

What has been your staple hairstyle?
Rollersets, buns, and butterfly clips
