There is no board.
I managed to find rollers that are larger than the grey ones. Problem is that they will not allow me to fit under my dryer. These are only for folks that air dry their rollersets.

As you can see, I placed the grey one inside the purple one and there is still room for other sizes! LOL

Hard to find but they do exist.

I was just about to ask what size is larger than grey. My stylist used some larger (I think black) rollers on the top of my head. What color is the big roller in your pic?

I use the black rollers (larger than gray) myself and although it's a TIGHTFIT, i still manage to get my big ole head and those big ole rollers under the dryer :)

CH, so you can still get under there with the black ones huh? Shoot, I just wasted my money on these! I can't even get the sides under the dryer with these humongous rollers.

My next visit to the BSS will be to find those black ones.

I think that black is smaller. I cannot believe that I have to have rollers sent from nyc; sally's is completely out.

There is black that is larger than grey and they are easy to find in NYC. I've never seen the deep purple size that you have in your album but I know they are also sizes bigger than that called Fat Boy or something like that. The are the size of a round cake pan. I don't know what dryer can fit those, lol.

Cute, I have seen those big jumbo rollers before, but I can't imagine what type of dryer anyone could fit under. I have difficulties with just the greys.

i have a pro salon dryer so that's y my head can fit... and when i go to the salon, they know better than to try and fit me and those rollers underneath a reg one :D

CH, I have a pro dryer too, but I have a highlander. I remember a while back you were looking into getting a Pibbs. Did you get it, and if so, which model did you get? The longer my hair gets the more I dread washing it, cuz it takes so long to dry.

yes girl, i got the PIBBS 514 :) I love it. my hair is dry in 45 mins... TOPS. if you do get it, make sure you get the pink ear thingees (or you can use a thick sponge cut in half -for each ear) b/c it gets really, really, really HOT under there.

K, I think I'm going to have to upgrade. Cuz, I'm already sitting under the dryer for over an out. In fact, I sat under the Pibbs at the salon last week, freshly relaxed hair, top level of heat and I was under there for an hour and 20 minutes.

One more question, where did you buy your Pibbs and if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay?

I think most salons have the Pibbs that I got the 508. If you hair is really thick I think you need the more advanced and larger models. I'm looking to upgrade my pibbs to a bigger one.

of course i dont mind webby, it was 325 (tax included)(in my post from last year i said it was 329 plus tax so i'm gonna have to go with that)... i got it from a hair lovers dream store in queens. i don't remember the name of the store :( (give me a sec, aned i'll try and search for it and edit this post)

ETA:
The address is 133-20 Whitestone Expressway, Flushing NY. If you are coming from the bronx, take the Whitestone Xpswy to Exit 15, get off and stay on the service road but in the left lane. Make a left @ the light B4 Toys r Us. Go 2 lights to 31st Road (or Av, or street) and make a right. It's at the end of the parking lot (you should past a pathmark on your left). It cost 299 plus tax. DO NOT BRING ANY EXTRA MONEY in there b/c u will b very mad at me, they cater to salons so they have darn near everything. They have other dryers there (there's one for 150) other than the one i purchased. Bring $1 extra so you can get a hair net because you can't get under the dryers without one (as per the manufacturer).

Thank you. I just called Sally's; they sell if for 279 +tax, but shipping is free. Either way, I'm gonna be broke, but my hair will be looking good :D

PS, Honi, I'm sorry...didn't mean to hijack your thread

CH, I got the 514 just like I recc. to you. Glad you like it. Worth every darn penny too.

Webby...no problem sis! You can't talk about rollers without talking about dryers too.

I purchased a dryer from Walmart that is a GE 1600 watt with a larger hood. It is a lightweight hood and I bought it for 24.99. My friend requires grey rollers in her hair and she fits under it with no problem. It may not be the same quality as the ones stated, but if you want to save a little money, you can check it out. The only thing that she hates about it is that it has 2 settings, cool and high. The high gets extremely hot!!! She has to get out of it because she is literally burning up. She has armpit length hair and it usually take 30 minutes to dry her hair.
