Miss
Olaplex #8. Horrible conditioner. Caused knots in my hair and dried it out. Does not detangle. I had to use another conditioner. Lost a handful of hair. Returned.

Meh
Amika Midnight repair. Did nothing for my hair. Returning.

Cautious Hit:
CurlyProverbs MSM powder.

I’ve tried MSM multiple times over the years, but have always had to stop because my skin would breakout and I’d get horrendous headaches.
I’ve been using this brand for the past week and haven’t experienced headaches and it hasn’t affected my skin.

So far, so good. I’ll try to update after I’ve taken it for a month.

Glad MSM works for you. I had to stop taking Qhemet's MSM powder. It did something to my body chemistry.

Yeah. I have never tolerated MSM before and I’ve tried several brands (powder and pills). I’ve been taking this for going on 2 weeks now and haven’t had a single headache, acne flare up, etc. Other people have said the same thing in the reviews. Hopefully, I continue to tolerate it well.

Hits
Ouidad moisture lock oil shampoo
Ouidad mongongo oil

On the fence
Ouidad triple conditioner. I left it on for 3 minutes. My hair felt ok but not really soft. So maybe I need to leave it on longer? Anyone using this conditioner? How do you use it?

Left it on for 15 minutes. Hair did not feel soft or moisturized at all. So it's a miss. I'll finish the jar but not a repurchase.
@naturalyogini2
I don't plan to repurchase either. I "think" I bought x2:nono: Lemme go look :look: (No...so thankfully, I only have x1)

Okay: But, I do have the Melt Down Recovery Mask, TWIST: "Gimme It All" 4 in 1 Conditioner and TWIST "Big, Rich & Dreamy" Cowash Conditioner
Hopefully, these work better for me.

You know they discontinued Melt Down Recovery Mask? That was my favorite product.

HIT:
Dabur Amla oil.

Surprisingly, it's my first time ever trying it despite it being popular years ago on the hair boards.

I really like it. :) I used it as a prepoo the past two wash days and my hair looks really nice. It feels thicker, looks a little shinier, and has more body. Also, my scalp isn't as dry after washing which is nice.

Once I finish this bottle, I plan to get the gold or light version, something not as strong smelling as this one. I know I can just make my own (and I have in the past) but I am enjoying the dabur version.

So it’s been just shy of 4 weeks. This is definitely a hit (as far as lack of side effects). I had a headache one day and I was super stressed and overwhelmed that day, so I doubt that it was MSM related. I’ll have to see how growth is going when I take my twists down. At the very least, my shoulder likes the product. That’s as good a reason as any to keep using it. :)
