Hey Ladies! I finished up my HYH Challenge from August- December and wanted to reveal my results. I actually BC'd in August after transitioning for 15 Months but didn't post. I want to thank EVERYONE for being so supportive and knowledgeable. Here's my transition:

One of my first "hair pics": May 4, 2007

Last Relaxer: May 22, 2007

Transition in Full Gear. I basically wore this phony pony er'day for 8 months.

New Growth Coming In: 7 Months Post

Hair Flat Ironed: 8 Months Post

Kinky Twists for 2 Months

Weave for 5 Weeks

Alllmooosst APL: 11 Months Post

Hair Flat Ironed: 13.5 Months Post

Southern Tease Bun: 13.5 Months Post

Blow Out Fro: 17 Months Post/ 2 Months Natural

Thanks NAPP and lol! I'm not sure of the brand but it was made for children and has a drawstring. It was $8-10 at the BSS.

Thank you! The hair used for the curly weave is Milky Way (BSS brand ). The type is either Water Wave or Water Weave. My stylist used 2 packs and shaved off some of the bulk when styling it. I have more pics in my Fotki under my 2008 album.

Thank you! Yes I maintained most of my length but I had to do a few dustings and I got a salon trim during the Summer. I experienced some line of demarcation breakage but I don't think I could do too much about it given how fragile my relaxed hair was compared to my strong, coily new growth.
