Why do conditioners that claim to be ultra moisturizers still contain protein? I'm in search of the perfect moisturizing conditioner for my hair. So far the perfect protein for me is GPB. I want something that rivals that only to be a deep moisture treatment. Here's what I have tried so far that hasn't worked for me

Mizani Moisturefuse
LUST
MOP Extreme Moisture
Joico Moisturizer (strengthens, but no moisture

)
Paul Mitchell Supercharged
Pantene & Herbal Essences moisturizing conditioners

This are what I remember trying at one point in time, and I clarify, so its not a build up issue.

I'm beginning to think that I won't find this kind of conditioner in a bottle and I should just try other methods of moisture...

any ideas? feel free to rant if you can relate...

Elucence Moisture Balancing conditioner is also good.

Keracare Humecto and Motions Moisture Plus are Moisturizing Conditioners without protein.

The reason that many moisturizing conditioners still contain protein is because hair that is adequately proteinated accepts and retains moisture better than hair that is not.

Kera Care Humecto ! It detangles very well and does not contain any protein.

How do you know what ingredients are Protein?

Oh...I thought the protein was far enough down on the list to be barely significant. Sorry.
