Hi Ladies :)

I've been natural for 6 months, and I transitioned for 18 months so I'm 2 years post relaxer now.

I figured it was about time I straightened ;)

Dc'd, cowashed, banded and went under hooded dryer for a little over 30 mins, then straightened (applied heat protectant of course). I trimmed each section after straightening...

HAPPY NEW YEAR LADIES :band:

thats a good idea to braid in sections and straighten each individual so its not in yur way :) im gonna try this lol

You have a lot of darn hair! Beautiful and thick! :yep: You use the maxiglide, right?

I think i might do the banding under a bonnet dryer. I just can't bring myself to use a blowdryer - too scared of all that direct heat. :nono:

Thanks andromeda :)

I used my Sister's flat iron... I still haven't bought one. I aim to get one in the New Year... which flat iron do you use?
Same here... I was too scared to use a blow dryer plus flat iron... too much direct heat. I can't wait to wash and DC :lachen:

I use the Maxiglide. I can't comment on how good or bad it is because I haven't mastered the proper technique. Once again, out of fear. I could improve my skills by practicing more but I'm afraid of heat damage.
