really takes place on December 21, 2012 tell me this........

* Would you'll regret not wearing your hair down more often :look:
I mean all these HYH challanges and wearing buns/braids/weaves or protective styles
for a whole year and such, sacrificing style for hair preservation?

* Or would you be trying to pack up your Denman brushes and favorite conditioner, and
be cowashing and protectiving style straight into the here on after?

Seriously, in light of all the 'end of the world' and 'last days' stuff that I've been hearing recently, I actually thought about this the other day and felt like, what if I did live to see the end of the world, and what if it is sooner than later.....

[DISCLAIMER, the above quarry was not meant to offend ANYONE in ANYWAY]

I guess I'd have more important things to worry about than my hair at that point LOL!

Edit: But no, I wouldn't regret it, because I like the way I wear my hair. Wearing it down is nice every now and then but wearing it the way I do just fits my lifestyle better.

Girl my hair will hopefully be in a bun when the last day comes....i don't want my hair to be caught on fire if i happen to survive.:lachen:

You know what?
I hate to fly and a couple of weeks ago when I flew, I thought; if we crash, I will never get to see BSL..How sad is that?

Naw son.
My hair looks a hot pitiful mess out. A bun is where it needs to be until thy kingdom come.
Or BSL+. Whichever happens first.

Ladies don't get me wrong, I love the Lord and I am trying daily to get closer to him thru prayer and studing the bible, but I'm like seriously dude, I should be around waist length in 2012, I don't want the world to come to an end just when I reach my goal!

I'd be a bit mad that i didn't transition when i really wanted to. I coulda reached my goal then. But in the meanwhile i voted are you serious?

No, not me. I only wear my hair in ways that I like. I don't see myself sacrificing style for length I see myself finding a medium. Finding new ways to style my hair in a way I will like...even when I step out of my comfort zone of the styles that I am used to. That was main purpose for me trying the hyh challenge when I did. During that, I challenged myself to still like my hair even when I was trying a new avenue. I was never wearing styles that I didn't like for the purpose of growing my hair. I don't see myself doing that, but I do like to learn to be efficient in styling my hair to my liking with whatever resources and conditions that I am in.

Haha...this is too funny I also would also be a tid bit upset if by then I have not yet felt the tickling of my hair down my spine
...but luckily the mayan prophecy was more of a new begginning than an ending.

But I know there will be some craziness around that time...I may just say what tha heck and go on and by that expensive pibbs or flatiron I've always wanted. My last day will be filled with hair fab-u-lous-nesssss.

My Bible says that it won't be water, but fire next time...so I'll skip the poo and grab a heat protectant. I'd more than likely bun so I can look (as my niece calls it) 'blessed'.

This thread is killing me. If it did happen I will be having sex with my husband and go out smiling

In the end,be it in 2012 or 5 mins from now, I'd like to know I did everything I could to achieve my goals hair and others. That's what my peace would be. My motto in life is "Do your best and give God the rest." No need to fret about anything that's out of your control.

Girl I think about this from time to time, and honestly I don't know how I would feel it I wasn't able to get my swang on....

DarkHair im with you on that heat protectant!!!

I don't know exactly how its gonna end...bc the Bible says that its gonna be something that has NEVER occurred and will never occur again.....so i think i'll just wear a helmet on top of my prettywrap!:lachen:

I would be really ticked because I know I would have been patiently waiting for UPS to Delivery some new hair product of something. Then the dag on world ends and Never get it. that would suck eggs.

But I am not worried. the bible says no man knows the time nor the hour. so I ain't sweatin all these end of the world theories.

LOL.. I was thinking about this today!!

I would be so upset that never got to experience long hair...or if it does end and 2012 and I finally have long hair I will be PISSED that I didnt get to enjoy it for a long time!!!

Can you imagine what the world will be doing December 20, 2012??

I don't know about the rest of the world, but if I'm not married yet, I'm grabbing boo and headin downtown. And then I'm calling my parents and family. And then I'm coloring :look:. With my hair ALL out :lachen:.

Can I be your Witness
I love JOP weddings, will there be a BBQ in the back yard afterwards? I loves me some pork:lachen::lachen:

I'd be sad I didn't even have a child

If didn't reach at least Armpit length by then, then i deserved to die!!!! :lachen: :wallbash:

Well the fact remains that it isn't the end yet and more importantly even if you did bun, braid or weave it up until the end, even if the last day was today, at that point you wouldn't even be thinking about your hair.

And I agree with Lylddlebit, I wouldn't scarifice style just for protective styling. That is like wearing a shirt you hate everyday just because it protects your skin or whatever. Why not wear a style that protects your hair and that is cute as well?
