Hey Yall,

Okay my mom is really considerin permin my hair. And I don't want to cause it is growin so fast. What can i do. I am tryin to to make it looked permed. I tryed to hot comb, blow dry, flat iron. All that. What am I gonna do>\???? SHould I get it done by a proffesional. I really need to tame my extra thick hair.

You could try getting a professional blow out (blow drying your hair semi-straight) it's less damaging and your hair woudn't shrink as much (if it does now).

How about getting braids professionally done, not too tight though so you don't get breakage or hair falling out.

btw I forgot to mention neutral hennalucent that helps the hair be more manageable and less frizzy. It's a temporary haircolor/conditioner. do a search for some good recipes for it.

Nessa, u can have your hair thinned which is something I have had done. It looks like a pair of scissors with teeth. However, when u get this done, u have to go in for maintenance. This could vary depending on how fast your hair grows. Also, the length of your hair is not being cut, so that will remain the same, but u will, as your hair grows out, have layers. Now I love long layers and so it's allright by me. Without it my hair looks like a bush!!!

I would have to agree with the others... try a professional

Yeah I should. See I am trying to braid my hair right. And you know before school I am trying to get cornrows. So right now, my hair is really thick. And this lady said she said it is hard to braid my hair cause it's too thick. And another person i told this to said, that she is just damn, lazy. So that's why I was sayin that. Should I wet my hair before it's braided?
