You will spend the next few months discovering how to keep your new growth and your relaxed hair happy! Trial and error works best. I am only 24 weeks post, and still exploring moisturizers, shampoos, conditioners, oils and stretching (tension processes) like bantu knots, braiding, scarf tying, and on and on to help tame my new growth!!!! I have discovered that keeping my new growth well moisturized with water, creams and oils, and tying the hair down for a few hours each day with a scarf has allowed me to flatten the new growth some and eliminate a lot of the puffiness at the crown. Then I can pretty much style the relaxed ends any way I want. I'm having fun with my new growth, for now, and I think that's key!
Good luck as you learn how to manage your beautiful new growth!!!!!
