Start combing your hair instead of using jus your fingers as your hair got longer to avoid tangles and knots? If so did you still retain length or did it lead to more breakage. TIA! :-)

I seem to always get brekage when I use a brush/comb.

I only use one when i'm flat ironing, other than that I always have and still do use my fingers. I find that if I'm getting a lot of tangles it means my ends need a trim.

STill finger detngling here. Howerver, it may not really be the way many do with the shorter hair. I believe I actually separate and untwist. My hair twists up and usually I am untwisting and separating. Not really combing with my fingers.

I'm still finger detangling as well.

I use a detangling comb on wet hair with a very slippery conditioner. No breakage and very few hairs in the comb.

I use a seamless comb once a week after finger combing and with lots of conditioner. I don't find that I have more breakage at all. I noticed that when I would rush and not do manageable sections that I would get breakage whether I finger combed or used a comb/brush.

I still finger comb near my roots. I'm okay with using a comb too since my fingers don't always do the job.
