After reading a thread that may or may not have told me what my hair type is
, and learning a characteristic that may or may not be an indicator of hairt type
the thing I want to know most about are these so called naturally clumping coils.
I always considered the clumps annoying and I guess bad like tangles even though the hair is not tangled. I want to know do people try to comb them out. I spend time finger combing them to separate but they love to clump so that just really probably does nothing. Actually truth be told I am probably creating bigger frizzier clumps by separating them. The things is the clumps are so poofy because thy are short, that I would never dare attempt a ponytail right now since mine are in the back half of my head. I guess my question is what to do you do to make them clump less or is that just how it will be until the hair is longer and hangs down on it's own?

@ the bolded
Yes that is it exactly. I guess I have to wait until it has a little length to hang down on it's own.
. Today I washed and air dried my hair. I didn't apply any leave in because I wanted to see what it does. I took hair samples from the sections in my head. I had 6 different curl/coil/wave types & sizes each section distinct. I said yup that's enough to tell me hair typing will get me nowhere. I did learn that what looks like a z in my head is definitely just a very loose wave.
