Hey ladies!

I don't flat Iron often - but I want silky results....How high do you turn up the heat for your ceramic Flat irons????
400 degrees???? or higher? or Lower?

Thanks

My maxiglide never goes up farther than the setting one. I'm not sure how many degrees that is but it gets the job done. Before hand I always dry my hair (w/o heat) so that it is pre-straightened so I don't need much heat to get it silky straight.

Let me qualify my response...I don't have fine hair (thick strands) and my hair has always been resistant to straightening (when I had a relaxer, it was NEVER straight until the last time when it actually started falling out). That being said...

I have a Chi...I think it's about 400 degrees...it works wonderfully to get it straight. I do use a heat protectant though. If I rollerset first, I find that it doesn't take so much to get it straight. However, I still have to go back over it the 2nd day and then I usually good until I wash. All of the work involved is what keeps me from straightening a lot.
