Hello

I am currently new to this site and I was looking for a good hair regiman for myself. Seeing as how I am pregnant my hair has been getting alot thicker quicker and I stretch my relaxers for about 3-4 months. I dont wear my hair and just tend to keep it in a ponytail for low maintenance and less stress. My hair is currently past my shoulders by a little in the back and a little shorter on the sides. I am interested in what kind of regiman might be good for me after I give birth, because I know my hair growth will change again? **All opinions welcomed**

I don't have any advice to offer. I just wanted to say welcome! There are quite a few preggos or recently preggos here. I'm sure they'll be chiming in soon.

Try to continue taking your prenatals after the baby is born. Someone else recommended that (wish I had that advice earlier) Your hormone level will fluctuate and it may affect your hair. Also, try to stay out of your hair as little as possible...your baby won't allow you to play with it anyway! ;)

I'm sorry that I can't give you any advice either, but welcome to the board. You might want to do a search in the past threads to see if this topic has been discussed before.

Good luck !

Yeah well I plan on still taking my prenatals afterwards because Im going to have to due to the breastfeeding but Im looking for advice on how the hormone flutuation might affect my hair because every since Ive been pregnant my hair grows out faster and is thicker. For this whole time also Ive just worn nothing but phony ponies and I did one sew in. So Im just trying to figure out what to do with my hair after my baby is born

Hello LHCF members,

I'm new to the forum and I wanted to introduce myself. I'm a 22 y/o and I'm in the Army stationed in the Middle East ( go figure)... not complaining:eek: Right not my hair is natural and it's about 5-6.5 in It was cut due to my deploying here. I could really use a hair regime I don't know where to start and I to would like to be an inspirations to a future LHCF members. I found this website by accident and I decided to join. I need all the help I can get with my hair. I notice that alot of the LHCF members have come a long ways and that's such an inspiration to me. For right now I have no questions, because I would like to search the forum for already answered questions. Due to the time difference I will try to chat with everyone as much as possible.

If anyone hear me please respond and help me out, thanks and God Bless:)

Mystery, alot of women experience shedding a few months after birth. (I haven't myself). I know there are at least 2 threads on post-partum shedding so you could try looking for those.
As for regimens, I personally always touch-up about a week before I expect the baby so that it will be old enough to sit with daddy for a few hours the next time I need to touch up.
After the baby is born I just condition wash, oil and bun 2x a week, and do a hot oil treatment, shampoo and condition 1x a week.

Congrats on the pregnancy

, princess_sid! I would imagine that your hair needs lots of moisture, while being in the Middle East. Stay safe! :)
