I went to Ulta because I wanted to try the Redken Cleansing Cream but they were out of the small size and I didn't want the liter so I let the stylist talk me into buying the Matrix. She said she uses both and the Matrix is on par with Redken but possibly gentler. It was $2 cheaper than Redken plus I had a $5 off purchase of $10 coupon so I only paid $8 for it. If I don't like it it's going right back to Ulta.
