Hey ladies,
So I think my hair is bored. Its almost BSL when wet and its pretty healthy except.......Im on the last leg of a really really bad shedding season and my nape is really broken. I have to admit that my satin bonnet is probably the blame. My hair has always been short back there but it has gotten worse. I also have to admit that I haven't been into my hair lately. I've been waching and conditioning and tying it up at night. You know...the norm but I haven't been babying it lately. Im pushing towards graduation and my mind just isn't quite into hair right now. IDK....im in a rut. If you look at my earlier threads you can get an idea of the products that I've been using for the last two years....keracare (they fell off bad...too watery, and the like. They only product I really feel is worth continuing using is:

Boundless Tresses (which I can't use again until after graduation because I need my relaxer to last. I can't afford to get another one right now.

Keracare Foam Wrap and Dry and Itchy Scalp Conditioner

Nexxus Aloe Rid Shampoo (clarifying)

Aubrey Organics Honey Suckle Rose

Garnier Water Based Hair Wax

Cantu Shea Butter Leave In

Other than that I really really wanna dump everything else. Lately I've been thinking about switching to Nioxin products. According to their website www.nioxin.com Im system 7. So, have you guys tried their products?? Do you like/dislike them? I've also heard a review about their products too. Im gonna post the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tstMC89uBc

Thanks in Advance :grin::grin::grin:

I have the Nioxin shampoo and condish under my sink. I originally bought the duo b/c I have fine hair and thought that it would make it thicker or something but honestly I can't say that I recall them doing anything special for my hair. It's been a minute but I don't recall anything miraculous. I stopped using the poo after I became a no sls convert. Anywho, I wont be repurchasing. Why Nioxin?

I thought Nioxin was for fixing hair problems. I started taking their vitamins when my hair was damaged, although I still take them today. My stylist said she and her husband used their products in the past to stop premature balding. My cousin tried it but said some of the products are protein heavy and made her hair hard.

I use it and my hair loves it. It is supposed to remove DHT which causes balding. It looks like my hair has improved. I just wanted a healthy scalp.

I figured Nioxin was a good place to start to help keep all of the long and healthy hair that I already have on my head. I don't think that its a miracle growth product or anything but its supposed to help the scalp become a great environment to keep the hair that you already have or that you get in the future on your healthy thereby increasing your chances of more healthy hair staying on your head and not on the floor.....I hope that makes sense. Anyone else??????????:grin::grin:

My sister uses Nioxon products...they are protein based I believe. I'm not sure when she started using them but I hadn't seen her in about a year and the next thing I knew she had BSL hair and she used to be NL/SL. I feel like its worth a try......
