what are some of the products/method that you use that we never post about? Are there any staples in your regimen that have always worked well that you have not shared with us? We are all pretty familiar with Lust, Humecto, Aubrey Organics, Kenra, Aphogee, conditioner washes, etc..... Is there something different that you're keeping from us for some strange reason

Please share:

For me, I love the Suave Naturals Freesia conditioner. I've only been using it for about two weeks. IMO, it's more moisturizing then humecto....

After I do my moisturizing conditioner I use Soft and Beautiful HMC Conditoner because it smells good and leaves I beautiful peach smell on my hair.

I blowdry my hair damp although my hair is natural. I could never grasp the idea of blowdrying my hair after it dried (isn't it more damaging to add more heat to hair that is already dried?). I used to blow dry my hair after it air dried but I noticed that after blowdrying my hair damp, my hair was much softer and straighter than it was when I used to blowdry air dried hair and I'm not loosing as much hairs too. just my 2cents.

I've been using Pantene conditioner alot lately and enjoying it more than most salon products that I've tried recently.

I am so loving Herbal Essence Conditioning Balm! I've been using it for over a month now and it's definitely a keeper. I love finding cheap stuff that works!

SVT,

I don't think I realized that you were in Dallas. Hey girl

What would you say about the condition of your hair since using the HE Conditioning Balm. (i bought some when Jade recomended it, but only used it once)

I always use At One With Nature Botanical Reconstructor Conditioner with Moisture Recovery (it doesn't have protein so I don't know why they call it a reconstructor) with every wash no matter what other conditioner I use because it gives me the greatest slip even better than Humecto. Why because it has major cones! It's also a great deal approx $3.99!!!

I use Palmer's Hair Success Gro Treatment as a heat treatment on my scalp when I have thinning or broken spots. I've been doing this for years and it works.

Hey Supergirl!

I use the Balm as a deep conditioner (with plastic cap) after conditioning wash with Suave Tropical Coconut. I also add just a bit of Pantene for slip (mostly on the ends) as I'm applying the Balm.

The thing I like about this stuff is the velvety softness! I feel like my hair is too soft sometimes which may be contributing to my shedding woes and I'm working on getting some protein into heavy rotation.

sounds good. I do a rotation thingy too, something like: Pantene, Pantene, Strengthening (or extra moisture)--whichever's needed.

I'm ashamed to admit that I like Pantene, too.

Don't be ashamed! Girl, as long as it works for YOU, keep on using it!

Heck, I like Pantene too, but I am not ashamed to admit it.

Their products work well for some of us.

I guess the reason why I haven't mentioned this is because I haven't had to use it recently. But anyway, if my scalp feels dry or itchy or I get some flakes, I use Parnevu Scalp Therapy. It works wonders

I actually haven't seen it in any stores in a long time. I hope they didn't discontinue it. My bottle is still pretty full so I'll just hang on to it for dear life. I don't use it very often so it'll probably last a while.

I can't stop using my sponge rollers with the end papers. When I was relaxed, I used them on the ends of my ponytails. Now I use them to stretch my natural hair or curl the 2-strand twists.

Pantene is on sale at CVS (and Kmart too I think) this week, plus there is a $1.00 off coupon in the Sunday papers.

Okay, maybe this post was a mistake. I just went to Sally's yesterda. I refuse to go back today for more stuff.

I've been using jason's sea kelp conditioner lately and I really like it. Its rich and moisturising and it helps detangle too, plus it smells yummy!

sithembile, do you mind posting the ingrediants?

Garnier Fructis conditioner for Dry hair lays my hair cuticles down really well. I use it in my product rotation but sometimes I'm scared to use it because it seems like it makes my hair too soft.

I've got one. Sometimes I use "Squirts" which is a detangler for kids. You can use it on wet or dry hair and it smells like pears. Detangles like a dream and smells heavenly.

I use specific jojoba products like hobacare 100% jojoba oil(I love love this product!! I use it everywhere skin, hair, face..for massages..) and I use natty soft oil jelly - hair food. Flaxseed Oil is good too..like pure coconut oil(I make it myself) but the smell turns me off...experimenting with different herbs! Once a month, I try to take care of my scalp because I think it's as important as my hair so I use a crushed asprin with jojoba into a paste or the gel from an aloe vera plant. I section off my hair in multiple twists/knots and apply the mixture, Have been using shen min topical solution as part of my night time routine(not sure if it helps..since I've only been using it for 3 weeks now? For now. I'm not having any problem with my natural 4a hair..it's soft and managable....I want to try the lime/milk thing. I also use Koolaid as a temporary tint..I use different colors except the green.

Used vegetable and lavender oil sometimes when I run out of hot oil/jojoba in rare occasions.

hera, what does the aspirin do for the scalp? i'm always looking for more info on scalp care bc it really affects how your hair grows.

I used it when I use to get dandruff a lot...after then I'd use once a month because my scalp use to get itchy too...haven't had dandruff in a long while.

I use them to roll my whole head sometimes

Along with my SSLD (Salon Selectives Loosely Defined), those sponge rollers give me the prettiest, bounciest curls!!!

I started blowdrying my hair again. But I use wildgrowth before (and I mean about a quarter size) on wet hair, then after I blowdry, I put about a nickel size on the ends 4 inches up the hair. Then when I blowdry when I section, I take a little section of wildgrowth to the ends, brush and then flatiron. Smooth hair.

Oh I use 2 conditioners on my hair when I wash before I deep condition. I use Pantene Relaxed and Natural conditioner, and I use Sauve naturals Coconut. After I rinse that out, I do my deep conditioning treatment. After I rinse that out, I take a quarter sized amount of the Pantene conditioner and put it on my hair as a leave in, then I proceed with the blowdry.

I am always on the look out for anything detangling. I recently tried Mary-Kate and Ashley's Detangler in the laveneder bottle for $1.89 and it's excellent! I'm horrified that I'm buying it and making those 2 lil' ugly girls richer but it works. (Oh and yeah I know that's mean, but they're laughing all the way to the bank)
