Burn your hair that falls from your head. If a bird gets it and uses it in his nest, you will have headaches for the rest of your life.![]()
I heard the first portion of the bird thing - didn't know about the headaches though!

^^^^^That sounds like the perfect recipe for :burning::burning::burning:

My grandmother used to tell me to trim my ends on a full moon so that my hair would grow faster

My stylist said that putting vinegar on a freshly washed hair would get rid of dandruff. The woman would always pour vingear on my head right after a perm...Talk about my head burning.
I heard you had to burn your shed hair because of you dont someone could use it to do voodoo on you.

At least it wasn't Listerine.![]()
Trimming your hair often makes it grow very fast.
Tight braids and cornrows will make your hair grow faster.
Don't ever wash your braids or weave or your hair will fall out
Don't wash your hair during your menstrual cycle b/c it will fall out (from my mother).
I heard that one in terms of increasing menstrual cramps - same for washing your hair! Of course when I gave birth to my first child my hair needed to be washed, very badly! The nurse must have thought I was crazy when I asked her if there was any harm in if I washed my hair so soon after giving birth!
Don't relax your hair when you have your period... hmmm what else.

Water will dry out your hair, that's why you were only suppose to wash every 2 wks or more. It wasn't that harsh poo (lye soap) or frying your hair with a hot comb sitting on the fire - NOPE -water![]()

I always ignored my mother when she said that. She used to be pissed when I'd go to the salon during my cycle.
...we learn to ignore to keep the peace!
